Agüero is injured too often,he is not madridista. He would play in Barcelona if he had a good offer.I am curious about Sterling-Benitez.I didn't name Hazard since I see it impossible
Ok. Understood.
By the way how do you think most Madrid fans would react if Ramos left? Would Perez take some heat for letting him go? Or it depends on his replacement?

Perez hasn't offered him enough money in hi new contract. Ramos is popular with the fans and having a go at the boss is a unique thing with Real Madird and Barca as their fans get to vote who is the boss every so often. A popular player having a go at him will undermine Perez to the fans and risk his re-election. I expect the Ramos to United to build to a fever pitch in the next 24 hour with media outlets in the UK claiming it's a done deal quickly before we see a picture of Ramos and Perez together as he signs his extension with the cash he wants and proclaiming he wasn't angry with Perez and it was all the medias fantasies. United will again have been used as a pawn by an agent and player to get a better deal.

I think it will go this way too.

Schweinsteiger is a natural leader though...... we could use one of those as the lads collapse too easily when they run into trouble. I like Rooney but he's just not very inspiring....in my humble opinion of course...
A number of times, he was talked about as the defining moment in our season with his inspiring speech after the FA Cup Arsenal Defeat.

I think that a new player in dressing room should never be the captain.Firstly because he barely can speak english and would be a lack of respect to the others

But stating that a brand new signing will simply take the captain's arm band off him, come on...
I understood it to mean if a situation arose where the question of the captain's armband came up? Sorry if I misunderstood.
But personally, if there was someone there (whoever that is) who had better leadership qualities, I would take the armband off Rooney if he kept putting in inconsistent performances as he's been doing for a few years now. It's the end product that's most important. The players need someone to give them a kick when it's needed, encouragement when that's needed etc etc. Just can't see it in Rooney to deliver that. Therefore, if there was a better option, I would take it - but that's a personal perspective so don't go getting upset with me:D

if you have a young squad and you buy an experienced top-class guy I think that should be the case for he can display his leadership more easily. Not with United though, we still have two English guys who have had around a decade each, so I agree with you in our case

Maybe, the problem is a leader needs to be consistent. Having a speech that's good enough for a few games is not good enough. Where was his leadership throughout the whole season for e.g. the collapse at Leicester? Playing without any motivation away to Everton? Losing 3 games on the dot at a crucial time in the season which saw us demoted to 4th place and now having to endure a qualifying round for the Champions League? Let me stress I'm not slating him, and I think he's done the best he can with the tools he has, but at the end of the day it's not quite enough - again from my personal perspective.

It depends on the press, the pro Mourinho/Board press would say that he is "pesetero"(greedy),that he is 29,blabla but for most of fans Ramos=Spain.I can ask my grandmother who is the vicepresident of the country and she wouldn't have idea but definitely she would know the captain of Madrid and his wag.I would prefer to give Varane.Maybe he is old,he had a bad season but would be a drama for many people.Of course Florentino can buy but he is not going to fix this buying Koscielny or Agüero while licking Bale's ass

We'll see I guess, but it's more likely than not that he stays at Madrid - would be shocked if he left to be honest.
As for Perez - he better pray Bale performs and Ronnie doesn't get pissed off - can see Ronaldo flirting with PSG if that happened:)

is she that famous?

Spanish tv presenter by all accounts. She's an upgrade to our lot. See the spoiler below...

Mrs Ramos is pretty tasty... Pilar Rubio. However she's also another Spanish TV presenter. It looks like we're rtying to swap one WAG Spanish presenter for another. Maybe MUTV is branching into Espana?

Well worth a click...

Ramos or Schweini, if any arrive, won't walk into captaincy. Think only Cristiano would warrant that and even that's at a push. It's Rooney for the forseable future most definitely.

She is quite famous and as soon as Iker leaves she will be much more.Sara Carbonero is the sport director in a channel and she even didn't finish the career.Pilar was very famous years ago, basically for her neckline but was unlucky in some tv shows, but Madrid is here all the time in the news.

Ah so Ramos' wife is a Spanish TV presenter as well? Well this makes things even more difficult

Erm, you should wait to see IF he becomes ours first. Don't jinx it ffs.
Not really, if I really don't want him to sign then it'll be like a double negative jinx, or something. I'd be taking one for the team.

Guess that's why De Gea's 'pop star' wag want's him in Madrid:D

Ramos' lady need not worry though - sure MUTV will find a role for her there if he does come:D Can she speak English?

Is marrying a Real Madrid player like an employment benefit for jobs in the Spanish media? You'd think they'd get a transfer story right once in a while!

She had a baby a couple of years ago and she disappeared from tv.I think that she would be happy enough without working :D

Maybe were just playing RM at their own game, trying to unsettle players and generally make things awkward for them, worst case it forces them into offering him more money. We could also have threatened to move onto their other players who's contracts are running down, Marcelo?

Ultimately it could force them into giving in and letting us have one of their players, or them pulling out of the DDG deal, win win either way.

Well atleast the different rumours make sense

If we are about to get Ramos

Surley DDG to Madrid will be agreed soon (maybay even part of the deal)

If he is off it make sense we're starting to look for a replacement in which explains the rumours we've agreed personal terms with Lloris

And if we get Ramos It'd make sense we drop our interest in Otamendi in which case it makes sense Otamendi would be looking into other interested partys which would explain the City link

Then there is the Real want koscielny rumours which would also indicate Ramos is going

Either it is happening or all these media are deliberaty making up these stories to paint a coherent picture.

This has the potential to be another Thiago/Kroos/Vidal thread. I cant wait to see how it unfolds.

I hope it ends up like the Di Maria thread I.e we get our man.

Brilliant post and totally agree, eye for an eye mentality we really should have been doing this a long time ago courting and unsettling Madrid players, they have been doing this to everyone else for years, about time they get a taste of their own medicine!

Or Ramos declares he would never leave Madrid, signs a new contract we sell them DDG for a piddle poor price anyway and we look like bigger mugs that if we had just sold DDG without all the pa-lava
