I have no idea how this twitter embedding thing works so here goes:

That sounds positive to me. Perez usually shouts his mouth off any chance he gets but he sounds like someone who's been scorned there.

Can you post the content. Twitter is blocked at work

With the Ramos captaincy thing all over Twitter it seems unlikely we will get him. Not sure where this leaves the DDG deal. If we perform really well in the first half of the season and Madrid struggle maybe we can sway him.

Full Perez quote on De Gea:

Florentino: "De Gea is a great goalkeeper that belongs to a club friend, but if he is in that club we don't have anything to say"

After a long time thinking he will go. Leaning towards him staying one more season and seeing his contract out.

To put that in better English - Florentino Perez: "De Gea is a great goalkeeper, but he belongs to another club. A club we are friends with so I can't say anymore on that."

Now we have him on tour Ander, Juan and Woody need to send an onslaught of hookers to his room. We need to split this relationship up.

Another twist in this story then it seems!

The addition of some top talent to our squad that will hopefully see us start to compete on multiple fronts again might be enough to sway him!? Also if Madrid are forced to buy an alternative replacement now (Casilla?) then he may establish himself over there and then they will either not be as desperate for De Gea next season or David will need to rethink as he may not be guaranteed the number one shirt over there this time next season?

Woody really means business with this De Gea thing to Madrid. Either they will pay that world record fee for a keeper, or we get a player that we want. Woody specifically mentions that he does not want to lose players to Spain in last summers interview. By the looks of it, seems De Gea will have to run down his contract in order to move.

Here is the link to the interview

If Louis turns round in August and says 'actually, I’ve changed my mind about player X and I want player Y', we have the financial strength to respond to that."

Maybe this is what's happening with Di Maria.

We wanted Ramos for De Gea. Real refused. So instead of backing down Ed now wants Ramos and Navas.

Gotta love Ed. Next he will ask for the entire Bernabeu and a slice of cheese.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say he'll stay at United next season. Van Gaal didn't include Valdes and Rafael in the tour squad, as all reports say he only wants those in the squad who will be here next season... Rafael will be sold and it looks like Valdes might be as well (unless he got injured). Would be brilliant if he decided to stay.

Considering you are talking about next season - does he have a choice in the matter if we refuse to sell?

I kind of think/hope that the team bonding that is likely to occur on tour may make him see that he is better off staying put and signing a contract. Since Woody isn't going to give him away anyway, even if he does want to go there next season, or the season after, his price probably won't be that much different either way.

Any single hot tennis players that we can get Ana & Bastian to intoduce to De Gea? The single part is optional.

I voted months ago that dave would leave but as each day goes by I see it less and less.

Now he's on tour I don't know what to think. I love the woody is playing hardball with perez though.

Add to that his girlfriend and him split up because his long distance relationship doesn't work. Then Woodward plays a blinder in setting DDG up with Fiz from Coronation St who is adamant he should stay in Manchester. He goes on to sign a 10 year contract with us as his love for Fiz is so strong.
What is Fiz?
