How did we lose this game?

United were the better team over the 90 minutes, had plenty of chances but somehow managed to blow a 1:0 lead and lose.

A massively frustrating night, with David De Gea having almost nothing to do except pick the ball out of his net twice. United took a well deserved first-half lead through Memphis but PSV hit back from a corner and then in the second-half snuck into the lead with a well worked counter-attack.

United's play became increasingly desperate towards the end, with desperate long balls to Fellaini which were never effective. It should never have come to that.

Despite United's dominance in most matches this season, they're still a soft touch at the back. Two more bad goals to concede tonight and if they can't sort that out, there'll be more results like this.

With the shocking leg break for Luke Shaw, it's turned into a pretty horrible night.

Well how the feck did we manage not to win that?

Out of everything, that Depay/Mata free kick at the end really pissed me off.

More gutted about Luke Shaw.

But what a pathetic display we put on since Fellaini came on. Utterly dreadful.

Shit second half. Shit luck with injuries. Shit finishing. This one was on the players, not LvG.

Second half was absolute garbage. Once again no urgence in our play at all. Mata was fcking shit.

Another match, another round of absolutely pointless subs. LVG's biggest weakness by far.

Awful night. Shaw was the biggest loss.

Mata and Fellaini I don't even want to talk about until I calm down, hope both are nowhere near the starting 11 at the weekend.

As bad as it could have been. Lost one of our best players and lost the match.

Going to get a lot of knee jerk reaction. We were the better team by a country mile and if Mata and Young could put in a final ball or shot we would've have won by 2 or 3.

Well done to them. Been dominated in the game but come out winners with some great finishing and counters when the opportunity presented itself. Sometimes you lose games and you can't control it. Sloppy finishing from us at times but on another night it would have been very different.

All about Luke Shaw (Get well soon) and Memphis scoring.

One of the bigger champions league shocks this season.

Let's face it, PSV aren't a good team, they are an OK team.

We simply do not have a plan B and for over a year it's not been addressed by LVG.

Gonna throw it out there, Marital looks like a pub player

A night that could really hurt our season.

Just hope Shaw is well. We will came out from that group as a winners i am sure of that but so gutted for Shaw...

edit: with well i mean that the situation is as good as possible

Subs ruined us, we played well until then.

Whatever, feck football, more upset about Shaw.

Despite it being our best attacking performance. We were just about clueless in everything else.

The last 15 minutes were just an absolutely fecking disgrace. Clueless. Playing corners short and utter shite.

That was 3 points there to grab and we fecked it up.

I'm starting to get pretty bloody sick of this. All the possession, limp in front of goal, beaten on the counter by teams that don't faff about when attacking and actually take their chances.

I almost want to give the club a pass for this one. You can tell the gruesome Shaw injury mentally affected them.

We need a goal and our options are a lump (who didn't even go up front) and Valencia. How the feck Mata lasted the 90 mins I'll never know.

Stupid match, players looked lost after that injury which i guess isnt too hard to imagine. That Moreo twat can do one, breaks a kids leg then celebrates like hes won the UCL. Twat face too

We lost more important thing than 3 points. I couldnt care less for the result

Not going to say a bad word about the players this evening. I've played in a game where we were 3-1 up, one of the lads suffered an horrific injury like that and we went on to lose. I know first hand how it can effect you.

Horrible night though. Thought the ref was really poor and think PSV are leaving with 3 of the luckiest points they'll ever win. Get well soon Luke.

We'll have a chance to rectify the result over the group. Should've been a pen and red card. We'll make them pay at Old Trafford.

Shaw is the big one out of this game. Huge loss.

Gave Luke Shaw man of the match. I am just so sad.
