Well... yes...
This week is getting better, better and better for United fans. That said, we've seen many stories saying Pep Guardiola to City is going to happen so we'll all have to wait and see.
To me I read that as Bayern wanting Klopp to take the Liverpool job for this season and then be ready for when Pep leaves to step in.
But it's the "united way" whatever that is.Klopp - Liverpool
Pep - City
Ancelotti - Arsenal (replacing Wenger)
Ryan Giggs and Philip Neville - Manchester united
Why would we take Giggs?
If Van Gaal is a success then there's a chance we will take Giggs with good reason.
The Glazers and Woodward aren't stupid to repeat the same mistake again. If Van Gaal fails and we don't qualify for Europe or look close to challenging for the league. They hardly going to appoint Giggs.
Klopp - Liverpool
Pep - City
Ancelotti - Arsenal (replacing Wenger)
Simeone - Chelsea

All the sweeter when we actually win the League again if it's the case. Personally would rather see him there than at United. Don't think he will go to us unless we have a team ready to compete as one of Europe's 4 best teams.
That would be stupid. He could just wait for a year.To me I read that as Bayern wanting Klopp to take the Liverpool job for this season and then be ready for when Pep leaves to step in.
I've just read on a german side that according to italian and spanish medias Guardiola to City and Ancelotti to Bayern (2 year contract) is probably a done deal already.

Maybe that's why Ancelotti was not available for the scousers.
Doesn't make sense for City to be replacing Pelligrini just after they gave him £150m to spend. Also if City win the league, no chance he will be sacked.
Also, didn't Ancelotti just say he wants to return to the premier league?

Hopefully not true. Guardiola would make them great.

Just come back home. Problem solved.
Sport1 are merely citing and compiling reports from Mundo deportivo, Sports Mediaset, and tuttomercatoweb.
All three are, as far as I can see, not exactly trustworthy outlets and I doubt their reports are more than speculation.

If push comes to shove I've no doubt Pep would choose us over City. We just have to hope we make our interest clear and aren't serious about handing the keys to Giggs. Pep at City would hurt a shit ton more than Klopp at Liverpool that's for sure.
I wish people would stop putting Giggs name into the equation, even though it looks an inevitability just the thought makes me feel dreadful.Giggs wants the manager's position but it would make sense if he would go to a lower table team after Van Gaal is done here and put his experience into practice for 2 or 3 seasons. Signing Gaurdiola to a 3 year contract until then is a no-brainer if that was feasible even if the club wants Giggs here long term.
I imagine Big Sam will be free by then.
