We should press their keeper and centre halves even more aggressively. They're dreadful on the ball.

Decent half but we're just not looking as organized in the 3-5-2. Just the way it is.

Good to be 1-0 up. Good that Memphis scored. Generally not the best game. Can't say anyone has had a specially good one. Lots of mistakes from both sides and very little urgency. Might change as the clock ticks on.

Great first 15 minutes or so. We actually looked to cross the ball in the box and hit first time balls. Then it all petered off when Herrera got injured. Now we're stuck in this abomination of a 5-3-2 formation again.

Hopefully we keep the clean sheet and get away with the 3 points. That's all im realistically asking for.

3.5.2 is crippling our attack. We can't get the overlap fast enough because the wingbacks can't get there. Why are we playing 3.5.2?

Turn to shit at the moment LVG change the formation. BFS and Mata are having a poor game IMO.
We need Pereira to come in

So how exactly have we changed it post-Herrera? We seem to have be playing Blind and Young as wingbacks? That seems to be leaving Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin isolated in the middle.

Schweinsteiger and Mata should be bossing games like this, they've been mediocre. Good goal by Memphis, and we had a good start, but since Herrera's been taken off and the change of system, we've been meh and keep making sloppy mistakes.

I like the workrate provided by Schneiderlin in midfield though.

This is going exactly as I expected it to, apart from us actually scoring a goal.

Don't see the need for 3-5-2 at all, we were playing well and had other options, not a time for any drastic changes.

We were playing well. I like the fluidity we had up top. Then the uneccessarily convoluted sub ruined it.

If Mata had some more precision on his passes, we could be up 2-0. Very uncharacteristic for him. Memphis and Lingard have done well, Schweinsteiger und Schneiderlin are disruptive in midfield, but also tend to give the ball away too often.

Not bad. The front two lads have done well. CM is winning the ball. CB's have met everything.

I think we'd be doing better if we had just put on Pereira instead of changing the formation.

Holy shit, I just realised their keeper is Heurelho Gomes.

Didn't Spurs pay a record fee for him once?

I would take a similar second half and the game 1-0. We have been solid, i hope we see goss/rashford in second half.

Think the wind is playing a role in the poor passing by the players.

The injury to Herrera has messed up our momentum but we are by far the better team, ideally we should go back to 442 and put darmian on rb and push young to right wing, the movement was killing them. Happy With that half though, schneiderlin has been fantastic

Yeah, we've lost the ball quite a few times in central midfield.

Very sloppy half. Passing percentages for both teams can't be great this game.

To be fair, both teams are very disruptive with their play.

Lingard, Mata & Schweinsteiger have all been poor today.

Hopefully we manage to grab another goal or two after the break and give some minutes to Rashford/ Goss/ Pereira. Can't see it happening though, since we're lacking pace and incisiveness in the final third.

Baste and Mata have been very very bad. We have stunk since we went 352.

The Lingard praise is a little odd. His work rate has been good but he's struggled to complete a pass.
