Carlo Ancelotti to Bayern for 16/17 | Confirmed

No. Pep's decision will be made (public) after the game against Hannover 96, most likely next week, definitely before January. Until then the media will go crazy.

It'd be strange if he announced he were going to City or United still have Pellegrini and van Gaal. I imagine Pellegrini will be moved to a role within the club though so it's probably reasonable to think it will be City and we will be left with The Philosopher.

If it's true and if Pep goes to City we are left with zero options once again. We really need to get Pep or else it'll be LVG over again.

It's fascinating how the English media created another clickbait article for United fans by using the situation at Bayern. It's really interesting to read how he turns the topic into a discussion about United's problems towards the end.

Fantastic thought isn't it?

If Pep is coming here, that would be brilliant. If he goes to City instead, with Ancelotti at Bayern, then United is leaded by idiots.

Two top managers changing the clubs, and we sticking with Clueless Van Gaal (or with Giggs) is criminal.

why is everyone convinced Pep is going to City when he has said he would prefer to come to United?

Because the United job might not actually be available. Admittedly though, Pellegrini may still be at City if they give a decent CL showing and win the league.

We'll see how proactive Ed Woodward is in an endeavour to secure arguably the best manager in the world. Would be far from stunned if he lets Guardiola go to Manchester City. Assuming Guardiola does end up leaving Bayern.
"Let him"? For feck's sake. This is an individual with thoughts and desires. He'll go where he wants to go. Stop acting so entitled.

I don't know what will happen but it won't be the end of the world if Pep and Ancelotti don't come to work here. Many good managers haven't worked here.

Because our genius, Woodward briefed last week that we weren't interested and the expectation at United is that Guardiola goes to another English club.

 I'm so happy that we are run by people who are so aware of what is happening within our club and how we're doing. Now time to give van Gaal a new contract for the amazing job he's done for us.

As @Balu said in another thread, if he leaves I think he won't say where he's going next. That would be stupid for him (since I doubt the negotiations are already completed) and especially for the club, if it's City or United or maybe Chelsea, who knows.

Because the clowns at United much rather want LVG until 2017 and Giggs after that? The same situation as in 2013 with Mourinho and Moyes.

Yeah just amazing. Like the Summer when Bayern got Pep, Chelsea got Mourinho, City got Pellegrini and we got Smug Scot.
Even feels worse because you would have thought we would learn from our mistakes. I losing my shit right now. Fecking useless bunch of shites we have running this club.

Chelsea are a good shout actually. I think it will be City though. Definitely not United, we're delighted with philosophy.

We're a complete mess. It won't get better under van Gaal, he will change half the team next Summer too and then teach all the skills out from our best players somehow and get them to perform like Championship players.

We're so frightened he's going to go to City. You have to try to imagine what that's like for United fans. Imagine there were some upstart club in Munich riding along on your coattails, owned by the richest men on the planet, and competing with you, the giant in Germany, for the world's best manager. Just envisage how much of an abomination that really is.

Giggs is blatantly going to be our next manager.

Giggs is blatantly going to be our next manager.
I refuse to accept it.

You'd have to be a fecking idiot to think this would be a good idea. I refuse to believe the club could make the same mistake twice.

The amounts of jimmies being rustled in here right now is staggering. All that because of one article.

Giggs is blatantly going to be our next manager.

Then, if it does happens, then one of the biggest clubs around has possibly the most incompetent structure. It shouldn't be allowed, if it is then I question the motives of all involved.

It's nothing to do with one article is it? It's everything to do with what has become frighteningly evident in the last 2 years. This article is a nothing point tbh, what it has done is highlight all of our fears. Which has sparked the conversation.

but it really isn't.

Not to say that freaking out is welcomed it is just an article. However, it is not the only thing to make people flip.

This is just another sign that LVG has done little to restore confidence to MUFC and the direction that it is going. The fanbase has been on edge since last March when we thought top 4 was gone.

Yeah there's no chance he announces what team he is going to if he announces he is leaving. He can't exactly say he is going to a club while they still have a manager under contract, it would reflect badly on him and the club, plus completely undermine their season.

It is also what I think will happen. I don't need any stupid journalist to tell me.
We have proven to be experts at being slow and making shit decisions in the last two years.

Yeah, agree with all that.

That's the problem, I think we are run by idiots.

Txiki and Soriano , who he worked with at Barca and has a brilliant working relationship with are at City.

City have wanted him for quite a while now, and have been working on it .

United have also been briefing that they have no interest in Guardiola. That usually happens when we are sure we sure we arent getting someone. Think of the Summer when we suddenly 'ended interest' in Ramos, and a few weeks later , he signed a new contract at Real.

was this forum always as hysterical as it is today? Or is this what daddy leaving has done to you?

Really bad timing for us like last time (Guardiola, Klopp etc.). Bet Moyes will be the only candidate left on the market when we finally move to get rid of LvG.

That's the problem, I think we are run by idiots.
but we aren't

You don't become the richest brand in football by being run by idiots. You don't pull of some of the biggest sponsorship deals while being run by idiots. All of this was done to fund a mega signing that we couldn't pull.

There is no way after seeing what happened to moyes that the club is willing to take another huge risk and put someone in charge with even less experience. You simply don't get to these positions if you're stupid and I just have more respect for the club than that.

The moyes appointment could be blamed on naivety but the recommendation still came from fergie so there is merit in woodward trusting his judgement. Now no more risks, it may not be pep or ancelotti but I'm sure it will not be gigs.

Maybe even Poch before giggs depending on how he does at spurs.

Was always going to happen if Pep leaves them. Bayern works quick and Carlo is the best available replacement and hasn't managed in the Bundesliga so far. Hope we will still try our best to get Pep and destroy City's hopes.

It's what blindingly obvious incompetence at all levels throughout an institution does to you.
They can't relate as Bayern have done little-no wrong for a while now, fired LVG at the best time and still got the juicy benefits from his reign. No real rival to contend with or watch grow stronger year after year.

"Boo Hoo we only get to the CL finals/Semi's life sucks for us."

Wow. Some of you are apparently adults.... Right?

No chance. What a silly reaction. Its some bellend who has been so far wide of the mark recently you would be better off getting your information from the man in the moon.
