Official: Pellegrini to leave/ Pep to join Man City

Well done Ed, absolute Muppet!

I'm losing the will with this club at the moment, don't want a proven winner in Maureen and have seemingly not gone all out for Pep. Lucky for us we have LVG... FML

I kind of hope there's a Bayern vs City CL final now because of how awkward it'd be.

The frightening thing is the players who'll now be willing to follow Pep to City, it is bad news for everyone else in this league now.

Related to statements from Caf users that a DoF would hinder hiring elite managers, this statement is interesting: It reads that Pep becomes Head Coach, not manager.
They're the same bloody thing  just slightly different in that head coaches usually coach as well as manage, like Mourinho or Pep. Fergie was always down as a manager because you wouldn't see him running around taking a training session.

Was obviously happening but still painfully irritating.

Get Mourinho in yesterday so we can start planning for the summer. Not sure if the bellmets in charge of the club realise the long term status as the main Manchester club is under serious question now.

Jose it is then

Make the call Ed, have the balls

Pellegrini was told one month ago that he'd be replaced by Pep.

My respect of Pellegrini has gone up immensely. He's handled all this like a true professional.

This is a monumental day for the PL.

How can someone who wasn't your first choice, become first choice all of a sudden? I don't see how this depends on whatever city do. Our process of selection shouldn't be to get intimidated by city and their plans.
Because he was my second choice, in a scenario where Pep is not available, which is the case now.
What we do obviously depends on what City is doing given we are competing for the same names, what a silly thing to say.
No one is getting intimidated here, a United fan has literally nothing to intimidate him.
Anything else?

Just shows that our club is being run by complete clowns and are/were more interested in 'tradition' and the 'United way'. There's no reason why we shouldn't be the club announcing the best coach on the planet being set to join, instead we're stuck with Van Gaal.

Our timing of every important decision has been completely fecked since Fergie hand-picked his fellow Scot mate.

If we don't get Mourinho tied up as soon as possible for next season then we can forget about winning anything any time soon. We need to reach some sort of settlement with Van Gaal, sack him, shoot him - do whatever it takes to get Mourinho on board.

I never thought I'd see United decline in this manor, whilst City make gigantic strides forward. Makes me physically sick.

And....Neymar wants to play for Pep. :nervous:

Yeah guys, I'm not even bitter but I must admit that I'm a tad disappointed in Pep. For all his talk about romanticism and football clubs, steeped in history - intrigues him, he sure as hell just sort of proved the opposite by going to oil money. The easier choice, not to blemish his near perfect record.

Well. Feck.

We missed Ancelotti and we missed Pep. From the next tier down we missed out on Klopp.
Giggs, Mourinho or LVG stays?

Can't wait for us to trump the City/Pep news with the announcement of a new soft mint sponsorship deal.

Watching United slip away from the top has been like seeing a gifted person throw away their career right in front of your eyes.

Yea this was the first thing (actually second after a 'kurwa') that came to my mind, reading somewhere that he wanted to play for Pep some day. He comes to City, we're fecked even more.

We got what we deserved, Woodward and co have completely fecked this club up, no doubt it wasn't only money that swayed Pep but stability did also. We had that once.

I'm most likely in the minority but I'd rather have Mourinho here.

I'm not sure why this would suddenly change Woodwards tune. The writing has been in the wall for months and months that Pep was joining City. Our club is a fecking mess.

Spoken like someone who gets intimidated easily.

Good move for City, very good move. But then again, let's see if they will totally dominate.

I can see us go for Pochettino or Simeone now
