Premier League Week 25 - 6th-7th Febuary

Solid OP. You've learned from my absolute howler on Tuesday.

City V Leicester should be a cracking game. Don't really care about the result -- Leicester lose, good because it might start a spiral down the table. If City lose, excellent because they're cnuts.

I looked at your thread to see how the title should be so you laid the foundations.

Only Bayern Munich and PSG have lost less games than Leicester City in Europes top 5 leagues...a defeat tomorrow probably won't derail them.

True. We've been saying all season that they'll fade away but they're still there. I just think that if they lose big then there's a chance of a derail owing to their fixture list (Arsenal, mainly).

Hoping Citeh (yuck), Sunderland, Southampton and Watford win. Need Leicester to start losing some points (like Tinkerman a lot, but not as much as I dislike Vardy - the thought of him winning the league makes me cringe); Liverpool losing is always good so they stay behind us; West Ham also needs to stay behind us; and Spurs need to lose to give us a chance of staying in touch for top 4:D

You'd rather City win the league just because Leicester have Jamie Vardy playing for them? Blimey.

City have thousand of him in their stands.

Who says they will win the league if they beat Leicester? Personally, as we're not winning it - I want Arsenal to win - I like Wenger:D

At this moment we don't look like getting ahead of Citeh or Arse and Spurs is a worry - so if Leicester can be pegged back and a few doubts start creeping into their heads - it will be good for us.

I'm just looking logically at the situation of how we can possibly get where we'd like to. Obviously, that depends on us getting on a winning run of course:rolleyes:

Edit - In no way do I want anything good to happen for City. I'm only looking at things from our point of view. Better it stays 10 points up top and if we win tomorrow, we cut that down to 7 etc. (if we win)

I want Leicester to win but reckon City will win ufortunately and go top. The next two games are crucial for Leicester's title campaign but even if they lose both they will still have a very good chance IMO.

Why would you want Leicester to lose?? I'm hoping that they go all the way and get the title. Would rather them win it than City anyday so I'm rooting for the Leicester win. I'll be watching it later.

Think there'll be a few draws this weekend, United game included.

Top four. More chance of Leicester falling out of the top four than City, not much chance of either though. I've said repeatedly that I want Leicester to win the league, but we'll see if they mean business or not today.

Ah gotcha! Well I'd rather it be the start of a tumble for City for us to replace them in the top 4. That would be the ideal scenario! But yeah I know that ain't going to happen.

What's your problem with Vardy?

Delph playing as number 10? Leicester v that defence could be fun.

I can't help but feel that Leicester are going to win today. City aren't all that and their set up is going to suit Leicester.

Looking at those teams, Liecester look favorites to me with the space they'd have against that defense (on paper). A lot depends on Aguero though. He could win this on his own if he's in the mood.

That City lineup really doesn't look much better than our team

I've said this before, City have as big of a job in rejuvenating their squad as we do, possibly even more because their squad is aged and on most of them on high wages.

However their owners will do a better job and get better players in than we do.

City are in need of some huge investment this summer. They prosper based on the quality of one or two players at a time. Now that one of those players is injured for the next 3 months, I see them really struggling. Won't win the league, unless Silva is able to recapture his best form.

Any team which contains Aguero can win the league, if he can stay fit.

Can't see City winning this.

Something really needs to be done about the traffic issues at Eastlands...

Superb play by Mahrez, absolutely destroyed Kolarov there.
