Europa League 2015/2016

Indeed. You can walk the games in Bundesliga, it's a terrible abysmal league. Dortmund could basically field 9 men and win all games 9-0. In PL they wouldn't get a single point.
They would be more challenged than they are presently, doesn't mean they wouldn't be up there but to compare the quality of the two leagues from top to bottom and say they are comparable is ridiculous!

Why can't people enjoy football without bashing the Premier League at every opportunity? It's getting tiresome and is extremely small time.

It is well documented that the Premier League is a lot more physical than the Bundesliga and La Liga. Even the Ligue 1 is more physical than them. It's a fact, not an excuse. The lower teams in the premier league are actually very strong which means you're in a battle every week. Same can't be said about the Bundesliga.

Your well documented fact is the more lenient refereeing, yes, but other than that from watching both leagues consistently I don´t see this big of a difference. The EPL used to be faster, but the clear tactical movement towards high intensity pressing football by a lot of Bundesliga clubs at least mostly narrowed (if not closed completely) the gap in that regard. Said pressing actually led to German clubs slightly edging out EPL clubs in covered distance per game in the last few years.

I don´t see any reason believe why teams like Bayern or us (to come back to the original point) can not play around the physicality of the EPL the same way they play around the pressing systems.

so...this was the second of the bundesliga versus the second of the pl, a league which some call "the best league of the world"..this is ridicoulus, we could easily have a 5:0...
another thing which is laughable, is the phrase: "the pl is so fast and strong"..hmm yeah, ive seen nothing of this this evening.

great game, tottenham never had a chance.
EUROPAPOKAL!!!! :D

I agree with that but Spurs rested 4 of their starting XI.

It was in response to someone saying Dortmund would walk the premier league which they would not.

It was? Ah ok, I thought it was the post about Bayern walking it and us coming second. No, we would not walk it, but we (let alone Bayern) play a stronger season than any EPL club.

Dortmund are a quality side. If they were in the Premier League, they'd have been a serious challenger.

Why can't people enjoy football without bashing the Premier League at every opportunity? It's getting tiresome and is extremely small time.

This is what happens:

1. Twigginator/some other cnut says, "the PL is more competitive" or "Spurs resting players for the tough league" or "Dortmund twiddle thumbs in Bundesliga"

2. Some other cnut says in response, "Sevilla would walk the PL" or "Arsenal wouldn't crack top 6 in La Liga" or "yeah that's why Gladbach yada yada"

3. Rinse and repeat

It's pretty damn tiresome.

Same can be said about the old phrase by people who don´t follow the Bundesliga outside the top games that Dortmund and Bayern don´t face any competition in the Bundesliga and every game is a walk in the park. When you watch your team run against brick walls week in week out and have to find solutions and don´t find it recognised by these people, it raises red flags by supporters. Then it is best to not comment at all.

Ya won't be laughing in September :)

Sorry for not taking every rumour seriously. If I go by my time on here and according to the caf transfer muppets Hummels, Reus, Aubameyang, Gündogan were all guarantueed to wear red right now.

Not just United. He reportedly wants to move to Madrid.

I agree with that but Spurs rested 4 of their starting XI.

and we played with our second goalkepper, and without gündogan, without our normanly cb beside hummels sokratis.
again: we could have easily scored 5.. the gap between the tow sides was crazy.

Oh I know, and Hummels was already in Barcelona how many times? Four? Reus was gone at least three times, etc, etc.....
I'm talking about Aubameyang and I don't think he'll be at Dortmund past the summer.

yeah, just like that cases in which 1000times hummels will be a united player, reus will be a united player, gündogan will be a united player, and kloppo will be the coach of united.
keep dreaming ;-)

When I watch Villareal I often think that they could do so much better with a better finisher than Bakambu. He converts the first opportunity tonight, good for him.

Pretty sure they'd win it at a canter tbh.

Leverkusen is such a shit side. LOL.

Leverkusen is incredibly inconsistent, just a few weeks a go they looked to be on the up and did so well against Bayern, right now they would get beaten by TuS Erndtebrück.

I know, and I just illustrated how many times garbage sources have written our top players to other clubs. The Aubameyang rumour originates from the "express" who are usually extremely poorly informed in football matters outside Cologne.

The Spanish teams are so ridiculously strong. They'll have again 6 teams in the quarterfinals of both competitions. And the only Spanish team that will go out in this round is from a tie between two Spanish teams.

How small time was that from Poch? Such a disgrace.. I really hope they end their title hopes at the weekend. This shouldn't be rewarded.

2-0 Bakambu
Good run but weak from Leno to concede between his legs one more time.

Well it's not but I'm not surprised to see that people think it's soooo far ahead.
