Actually Nostradamus
If they get through this, they'll win the bloody thing.
It sure does!Doesn't that scenario mean 4th place becomes a Europa League spot if neither of those two finish in the top four?
Hey, whatever lights your candle … if you guys get something out of singing that particular song, then more power to you. As Liverpool fans have been singing it on the terraces since the 60s, when Gerry and the Pacemakers (a local band) covered the original Rogers and Hammerstein tune, the majority of English football fans would most closely associate it with Liverpool. I pointed it out to some fans who were not aware of this association, which is all I said in my comment.Of the top of my head I could name at least half a dozen German clubs (us, Kaiserslautern and Gladbach probably being the most popular ones) and way more all around the globe which adapted it as one of their songs over the years. It is one if not the most widespread song in football.
In Dortmund it became a ritual (it is not really about the song there but more to symbolize the unity of the support before the matches) in the beginning of the 90´s and I know that they used to be an understanding between Dortmund and Celtic for the Dortmund support to not sing it in direct duels. I actually thought something similar would be in place for Pool aswell.
While it is understandable on an United forum to create negative responses, it is nonetheless a very powerful ritual to have 80k singing with one voice as loud as they can. I actually know only very few neutrals who did not get goosebumps in the stadium while experiencing that.
I think the deflection hindered him saving it to be fair. That wasn't a powerful shot, most good GK's would have stopped that. Weidenfeller's time is up.
Seems i was annoyingly right.Nah I can see us gifting them a goal at some point. The cracks are there.
If they both win and neither are in the top 4 then wouldn't only place 1st in the league be automatic qualification and 2nd place be play-offs and third and fourth would both become Europa League places as UEFA have said no more than 4 teams from one country? Anyone knowDoesn't that scenario mean 4th place becomes a Europa League spot if neither of those two finish in the top four?
So this is the Dortmund side that everybody on here has been wanking themselves silly about all year then?
I'm underwhelmed.

Because of 1 match? So Real is a shit side too now?So this is the Dortmund side that everybody on here has been wanking themselves silly about all year then?

Because of half a match technically.Because of 1 match? So Real is a shit side too now?
Ah, what a miss![]()
He is an instinct player. Reminds me of a poor man's Welbeck.
They're containing Dortmund quite well so far.I'm not watching the scousers but they are going to collapse in the second half aren't they?
I thought UEFA allowed up to five teams from one country in the Champions League as a maximum for a season. If they both win and neither are in the top 4 then wouldn't only place 1st in the league be automatic qualification and 2nd place be play-offs and third and fourth would both become Europa League places as UEFA have said no more than 4 teams from one country? They haven't said that, you can have 5 teams from one country.
We only have to worry, if City AND Pool win their cups.
But let's worry about us actually coming 4th first, if we lose to Tottenham, it's all back off again!
Yep I was wrong as @Sandikan pointed out above. Anyone else want to be schooled (like I just was) can read all about it here: http://www.theguardian.com/football...s-if-english-teams-win-both-european-trophiesI thought UEFA allowed up to five teams from one country in the Champions League as a maximum for a season.
