This is why I wanted a Bayern vs R.madrid final, boring game so far.
This is the least energetic derby game I have seen for some time, even the crowd isn't really up for it. Madrid has not even been that good. The Madrid players have actually given the ball away a lot. Fortunately for them Atleti have given away the ball even more. Atleti's entire game plan seems to have been undone thanks to a set piece. Since scoring Madrid's player have coasted and they've been been able to. Atleti has been as much an obstacle to Madrid tonight as City was in the semi.
Trying to get across to my non-football following friends that the Champions League final is the showcase event in European football.

Worst final I've ever seen. Well, worst first half of an UCL final.
Only way Atletico is coming back is through a set piece, they don't know what to do when they are behind and the other team is defending. Worst style by far from the big clubs.
Sorry, I mean the so called Free to air coverage. BT have to show the game for free but they chose this poor SD channel called BT Showcase. I think UEFA should make them supply at least final in HD somewhere somehow.

Yeah, they did the same against Barca in the league to great effect. Everyone assumed Zidane's an attacking coach because he was an attacking player but it's not proved that way. Looks like he's gotten the flair players to buy into the defensive work in fact.

They just showed a good angle replay, he got a touch for sure.
In reality, Atletico are an anti-football team. They have a small team mindset, never make the play and look to profit from opponents mistakes or rare counter attacks.
So ZiZou has sent Real out with perfect instructions: Get an early goal and the give Atletico the ball, so they can't counter.
Its working a treat and Real will win 2 or 3-0 unless Atletico can change tactics.
