I can't help but feel this will end in disappointment for us like so many before :(

If this does go ahead just watch all the pompous ABUs and media say things like "United spending over a hundred million on a player they let go for free" even though a different manager and staff were at the club at that time.

If we've got an agreement with the player, it's only a matter of time till he asks to leave. Getting an agreement with Pogba for me was always the biggest stumbling block, if we've got that, well, I can't see it not happening.

The fear now is that we risk a last minute change of mind by Madrid or Barca to swoop in a la Ronaldinho transfer. This must be concluded swiftly and the fecking euros is in the way.

Its how pretty much every transfer works now. Agreement done with player/agent first.

I don't think money matters that much when United are concerned. For a player like Pogba you do what you can to get him. Players like that win trophies for the club they're at.

I don't care, do what it takes, shirt sales for Pogba will be high and Merchandise.

Finishing higher in the league will pay it off too.

The club STILL can afford a 100M + player next year too even if Pogba was brought in for a record fee.

Some players like Carrick, Schweinsteiger will be off the books next year, Mata will be departing there will be plenty of money in the wage structure for new huge talents.

The loophole is that we talked to his agent. Which we allowed to. The agent then speaks to Pogba obviously.

Tampa Bay is in the same RUT as we are, but United just have disposable income and Ed Woodward at the helm.

I think Ed Woodward needs to stick around for 15+ years, best thing to happen to United in a long time.
 
If we bid £100m or Pogba it's mad. I still can't get used to the fees I'm seeing in football, but this will take it to the next level.

I heard that tonight. Juventus has agreed to negotiate. Nothing about the deal between us and Pogba though. But I trust di Marzio.

Still £150m net. That's peanuts compared to the TV money we'd make next year.

I expect more signings. But I guess those depend on who leaves. If we let Mata go then I expect a replacement.

These four players are what we needed because Van Looney made our squad small.
