I agree with you on the value of 100m but at the same time it's the amount of cash in United's bank account, half of it come from the Di Maria transfer and are supposed to be a player in the roster.

Even in the current market where prices are slightly inflated, no player is worth 100m. Pogba is a good player and may well turn out to be world class, even that is still up for debate, but we need to be sensible with price tags

It is irrelevant what a player is actually worth. It's how much you have to pay to convince his current club to sell and/or ward off interest from other potential buyers.

Look at Bale a few years back, he wasn't worth £85m and probably still isn't. But thats what Real had to pay to get him.

In the case of Pogba it is a sellers market. He was always going to go for more than he is worth.

£100m is fine. He only turned 23 and is already at a fantastic level. I think something in the region of £65-80m would be a more fair value but considering how young and good he is I don't really care. Plus we probably have to pay a premium as clubs will want some of that huge PL TV money

Summer is still very long and Madrid still have not moved . Personally I think Juventus have no intention of staying with Pogba . I think their goal is simply to keep Dybala .
Now as in all these super signings the player has to do something declaring his intentions.

Pogba in reality is worth around £70M, the + £30M = Real Madrid you need to beat this sum, then United will max out around £120M

Personally I still believe you are favourites for the league. The youngest and hardest working squad in the league, the best English forward in many moons, world class goalkeeper, 4 energetic full backs, a Pogba mk II in attacking midfield, a scouting department second to none and a shrewd businessman at the helm. Anything less than top 3 again would be a shambles.

United can easily ship out Jones, Rojo, Mata, Herrera and recoup a lot of the money to spend elsewhere.

The club could also sell Rooney to China or another club for 30M+ and still have money to spend on some other players.

The squad does still have good players that aren't in the plans going forward.

There's also players like Januzaj to go on loan, Tyler Blackett to still play some role, its far from over in the summer.

United are one of the most profitable clubs in Europe and that won't change.
