I keep changing my mind on the 'saga'. One minute I'm certain he doesn't want a return the next I'm positive he is keen to return to his favourite City. Sometimes I'm desperate for him to sign and other times I believe we are ok with a decent alternative (Matuidi).
All in all though with the current signings so far and the positivity Mourinho has brought to the club, I will not be too disappointed if we don't spend 100 million on him.

Good good, yeah surely Pogba has told Raiola that he would be happy to come here.
Man Paul is not going to push, Raiola alone cannot make it happen, especially if Juventus asks Paul to say it himself. Unless we know for sure Juventus is ready to accept 120m or any amount in particular, I wouldn't understand how the outcome could be positive.
After Monday I think we should get a clearer picture of the outcome.
De Gea didn't push for a move either last summer, but it didn't mean he wouldn't move if/when United accepted Reals offer, so this seems soley down to the question if Real want 100mill in their pocket or not.
He is overrated partly because of his streaky brilliance and immense potential plus his overall persona. His age, potential and marketability all matter though. And certainly, if he fails, whether he was bought for 60 million or 100 will not matter much. Likewise if he succeeds. As I said before, incredibly difficult to justify 100 million plus for a player who isn't an out and out forward simply because it's much harder to measure other impact areas. But anyone disappointed with this if it happens has got be thinking too much..

Exactly, Di Marzio also reported we agreed terms with Pogba. So it's a bit contradictory to now say Pogba won't force a move.
But why accept terms and talk about terms if you're not going to move?
"He won't push for move" really just means 1.he won't submit a transfer request, which means he will pocket a % of the fee, whereas if he did, he would have to waive it and Juve would get it in full and 2.so if the transfer falls through, he can save face with Juve fans.
Its a done deal, Mourinho would never have been as confident to say that we would get our fourth target and get him well before the close of the window, if he wasn't sure that it's a near done deal.
Raiola, like a good agent, is taking a bullet for Pogba; this way, the agent cops the flak from Juve fans if Paul leaves.

Completely different situation, Madrid never required De Gea to force a move with a potential free-transfer. Thankfully the deal fell through, Dave signed a contract and Navas had an excellent season.
If we know that Juventus are going to turn down our offer why would we even bid? Surely we have some reassurance that this will be resolved with us on the winning side.

That's exactly the point that is hard to understand. Hope they do not reject and make clear this is the amount from which it will ve accepted.
Not really, only the things at stake are different. Here 120m Euros are at stake for Juventus.
De Gea agreed personal terms with Real Madrid without ever asking for transfer officially. That did not mean he never wanted to join Madrid. Same way Pogba could agree the terms with us (without asking for a transfer) was the point here.
