This is Raiola trying to get more money than he deserve. Fergie was 100% right about him. That said, this is done if Raiola has not gone completely crazy. I dont think he has tbh.
Yup. This. Raiola's latest tweet is a lesson in classic negotiation strategy. Earlier, United offered what they did to beat off a real competitor - Real Madrid. Now that Madrid's not on the table any more, an "imagined" competitor must be created. Now, with the money involved, only PSG, City or Real can compete. Everyone knows City and PSG aren't in for him, so the next best is Juventus itself. The threat of "he could stay" will ensure United continue to strain every sinew to make this happen. Some of you need to stop hanging off every tweet or article as if it affects your personal self-esteem.
We don't know whether he wants to stay or leave yet.Apart from Zlatan had already decided that he was leaving PSG.
Pogba doesn't want to leave, and Juve don't want to sell that's our problem.
I don't get why people think this is a saga?
we haven't even made an offer. lol.
all we've done is talk to his agent about a possible move. that's it. that's the whole point of an agent. he talks about the future of his client.
It all depends on how you define worth and value in today's market. Who are these quality players you'd prefer us to spend the money on?If that's all that United can aspire, then it's in trouble. Point is, Pogba is not worth 100M, and is a huge gamble that is better spent on other quality players.

To be fair Raoul, we have been here many times before and it often turns out bad.Because long transfer threads tend to bring out the most idiotic comments. People want their transfer delivered gift wrapped and if it doesn't happen they start saying idiotic things.

Look, it doesn't matter if he isn't worth that in a football sense. Juve wants that amount. United want the player not only for his current ability, but his potential. Potential in football, potential to show the current players, fans, and future signings that United will do whatever it takes to win trophies. Potential to bring in sponsors. If that's all that United can aspire, then it's in trouble. Point is, Pogba is not worth 100M, and is a huge gamble that is better spent on other quality players.
Is it just me or is 100m for one player a bit much?
Yep just you, noone in this thread has said it before. Is it just me or is 100m for one player a bit much?
Which is more reason to stay calm about these thingsTo be fair Raoul, we have been here many times before and it often turns out bad.

Yes, but even though we were heavy favourites and massively linked to him, he still postured and said "oh it might not be manchester he moves too". He likes to play games in the press and keep them guessing. Strangely enough we still signed him. I am not bothered by anything he says.Apart from Zlatan had already decided that he was leaving PSG.

think he was about £32Way back in 2001, Juve themselves paid over £47m for a goalkeeper. Granted that Buffon proved to be excellent value for money, but the fee doesn't half make Pogba's price seem a bit more reasonable.
Its better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all. That's because of the group psychology that takes place in transfer threads, not the transfers themselves. There are a lot of weak, emtionally feeble people in these threads who somehow think football will make them happy today by presenting them with a shiny new player. If it doesn't happen according to their impatient timelines, they then suddenly get sad or angry. The way to deal with transfer threads (as always) is to allow them to play out and get excited after we buy the player, not based on the speculation that we might buy them.

It's about £45m by today's standards, chief.think he was about £32
100M for Pogba is a bit much, at best, he is a 50/60M player.
Spent it on three quality players at 33M each.
Looking for an improved contract? Why hasn't he come out and squashed the countless reports then?

This needs to be done soon or walk away. We can't be left with a large war chest on deadline day.
Name the three that you can confirm are of that value on the current market please![]()
Pogba hasn't openly come out and said he wants to leave, and I doubt he will, just like Mkhitaryan didn't. He's doing all his talking through his agent.
Good point. We've not heard anything. From his agent, from Juventus or from United. I'm not sure Juventus would have the cheek to complain about another clubs ethics - and they've probably do it too. So I think the twitter world (etc) suits them as you get bits of fact and a whole lot of fiction. It's too murky a world to cause anyone any real problems.
Everybody is forgetting Raoila's apparent "huge cut" of the deal too. If they renew, he surely will not pocket anywhere near what we are offering.Looking for an improved contract?

Of course, that's the whole idea of an agent. If the player did it himself it would be illegal, but a representative can talk all he likes, it's just a chat after all.
