Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Is he three times as good as Kante?
No, but he's got something young peope call 'slag', he dresses like somebody named 'Drapes' and can speak 44 languages.

The new contract news is also a posturing exercise, showing their fans that look we wanted to keep him, we even offered him more money, but the greedy cnut left for manutd. Its all his fault, while their owners spend 100 million on making ferrari great again in F1.

Italian watchers who claim Juve can match us financially are full of shit imo. If Juve could match us then Pogba wouldn't need to sign a new contract one year after signing his last.
Its just a dick swinging contest.

They cant for three reasons

a- Juventus aren't as rich as we are
b- They tend to be on the skint side
c- income taxes for high earners in Italy are ridiculous

If it was going to happen personally I thought it would of been wrapped up by now can't see it happening with it dragging on.

Really do hope we sign him.
If we can't sign him, alternative options out there are not good enough.
I don't want to see rooney-carrick, rooney-fellaini,rooney-schneiderlin thing ever again

If we're going to break the world record transfer fee for him then it's not hard to believe we'll also give him insanely high wages.

To me it just seems that some very intense negotiations are happening and a transfer request may be needed to make things happen. I'm confident Riaola will know how to handle this and eventually get it done. He's on our side not Juventus, so that's a big help.

Why do people think this was going to happen this week? The Euro's only finished last Sunday!

Some of you need to calm the expectations.

So paying 450ish a week is no big deal? 21m a year? Come on
More like 27.7M GBP gross then, if the 240K GBP / week net is true, or 12.5M GBP / year net.

Also, it would mean 15M EUR net a year, and 33.4M EUR gross a year.

Yes that's ridiculous compared to what Juventus might be offering, and that's ridiculous compared to what we were used to offer to Rooney and co.

The wage expectations of some people are crazy! Sure Rooney has a match highest earner clause so that would be another factor to add in. I can see him joining on just under or possibly the same as Rooney. Expect this to gather pace the start of next week and be finalised next weekend or something.

I agree. It's as clear as day so it really annoys me when journos and Serie A fans insult our intelligence when they try to protect their product.
I'm pretty sure Everton could go out tomorrow and pay Pogba 300k a week. No problem. It's the knock on effects that stops that from happening. It raises the bar for every future transfer and their current players would all be knocking on the chairman's door.
How much would Higuain look for if Pogba signs a monster contract?
Dybala was the subject of a bid from Barca so would he sign for anything less that Pogba's terms?
it would become a nightmare for them.

@SteveJ
Your posts headers should have their own style so it's easier for slow brains (extra slow on sleepy days) like my own to see that it's meant as humoristic. I actually thought there was a moronic Liverpool supporter that thought their "world class" board of transfer-muppets were giving advice to Juventus for a fair few seconds.

Its not dragging on. It only appears as such because there is a long thread on a forum with people who don't have any information discussing something they don't know anything about.

 Well their committee managed to get £15m for Ibe, so they've got the better of me, mate.

So Higuain's brother has confirmed he has an agreement with Juve. I will be shocked if they can sign him and all the other players they are after purely on their own operating profit.

With it looking like Higuain may be going to Juventus for big money then I think our chances of signing Pogba are very high

Signing Higuain (big transfer fee and wages)
Signing Pjanic (£25m, would imagine high wages)
Signing Alves on a free ( guessing good wages for him too)
Renegotiate a new huge contract for Pogba

Can't see them doing all of that. Matic is also linked with Juventus and with Chelsea signing Kante today there might be some truth in that

If Chelsea are selling Matic we should be all over that.

Why do you have such hatrid for people expressing their emotions on the situation? If people don't know anything new doesn't mean they shouldn't post what they think should it?

Pogba says, Juve would have to agree a fee before I leave.
Juve says, Pogba would have to ask for a transfer before we can discuss a fee.
:wenger:

It's hilarious how because it doesn't fit someone's timeline that it 100% means that it isn't happening.

Not really, because it's hardly "dragging on" is it? it's been something like 2 weeks, and in that space he's been playing a European competition and on holiday. For all we know it could already be agreed but not announced? people just need to learn to be patient. We will know soon enough.

If people don't know anything then they don't know anything. Its not rocket science.

Indeed. We go through this every year. Impatient people on the internet, who think transfers are happening or not happening because of how long a thread on a forum is.

Plus the signing fees for each of those players, plus the agents fee's.

Last year they were €188m in debt and made minus €7m operating plus building some new facilities that is costing €100m.
