After years of rationalising Pogba's departure from United I am willing to admit that I will be delighted to see him in a United shirt again.
Most certainly. Will be rejected pretty soon I think. Then we offer more, which will be accepted. Both clubs probably dont want to seem too eager. United dont want to be seen as spending silly money without negotiating. Juventus dont want to seem like they arent putting up a fight to keep him. I think this all just posturing for the media.
Agreed. It's in the bag but everyone needs to keep their muppet calm while the usual farce of bid, reject, re-bid, accept is done in a giant face-saving operation. Will be rejected pretty soon I think. Hope you're right, and I hope it doesn't take too long. If Juventus want €120m and we're offering just over €100m it shouldn't take long to sort it out, in theory.First offer is to set the base price for negotiations. It will go something like this-
United and raiola : Offer 103 million euros (juve + 20% raiola)
Juve : Ask for 125 so they get 100 million for themselves
Negotiations begin and a price in between is settled. Juve say ok. then we sign pogba.
I think there has been plenty of negotiations so far and inquiries from our side before presenting the actual offer. Will be rejected pretty soon I think. Then we offer more, which will be accepted. The only relevant question for us (the fans) is whether or not the player is good enough. It's not our money, why on earth would we care about the fee. It's a complete nonsense.
I will tell you why.
Because as a fan, if we are planning to spend £150M (or whatever the latest cost is), then I'd prefer we spend that money on another player OR 2 other players.
There comes a point where as a fan, I think we could spend that money more wisely, to get better results on the pitch. That's all.
£100M for Pogba would be "okay". But if its any more than this, then I'd seriously suggest we look at other players.
LVG guided a very poor Netherlands squad to 3rd at the World cup which included a humiliation for Spain. He has also won many trophies with the clubs he managed before then and also won us the FA Cup. The decision making was understandable on this choice as it was for buying ADM. No one could foresee the formation and philosophy LVG would adapt with the United squad and the terrible decisions regarding players positions.
Moyes was a bad choice but the board listened to Fergie on that point and followed his choice for the job. Poor decision making by the board on this occasion, but understandable considering Fergie didn't get much wrong during his 26 years as manager and trusted his decision.
that would be rediculously disappointing after all the reports and posturing, for it to all go titts upNo, it means United and Juve are in discussions. They could go wrong resulting in no deal.

If that happens chances are Real or whoever won't pay the fee.If he comes and is a huge success and then goes to Madrid at some point, surely he'll leave at a profit. Let's forget the price and see it as an investment, assuming he is a success. It's a small gamble I feel.

I remember a couple of people on Rawk last week said £200mil and £300mil respectively was his fee lol.Of course they do, when they are done with the tabloidnomics the initial price will be £180m.

All in white. Clearly off to Madrid then! lol

For 100m I'm gonna expect 10/10 performance from him for every single match.
Tbf I'm fairly sure they're saying it's around 100m euros +around 20m in bonuses which adds up to around £100mIt's tough to differentiate between pounds and euros for the English press. Poor chaps.
Not even messi does that or neymar. Hell look at muller in euros. In which case you are going to be disappointed.
Do Bale, Suarez, Ronaldo etc give 10/10 performances every game. How about James?
