He wasn't given the choice between Real and Man Utd. He was given the choice of Man Utd or staying at Juve.
To be fair though, he has been saying Pogba is United bound for over a week. It could well have been that he preferred Madrid. Unfortunately, Madrid aren't swimming in cash like us. Can't even afford a new fax machine.
