It's impressive that as your post history suggests in this thread, you've the ability to turn everything into negative. This quote was in context in talking about signing more than 4 players.

Just posted a quote from our manager, and my take on it. Pay it no heed if you don't want to.

He was actually talking about the market AFTER the 4th signing has been done

Yeah, sounds like he's talking about the possibility of replacing outgoing players, or perhaps a young player we've been monitoring suddenly becomes available and we need to act to stave off competition, like what happened with Martial last summer.

No you posted a quote without context or the question he was asked and then managed to spin it in the most negative manner.

Going to stay out of this thread, seems this saga is making me bitter

I don't see how it's possible to infer that Real Madrid might be signing Pogba based on those quotes from Mourinho. He's obviously talking about other transfers.

"We are completely convinced of our market. When we are finished we are balanced. We had no Ibrahimovic, Martial, Fellaini, Schneiderlin – lots of them aren’t here yet. The market is open until 31 August and sometimes things happen that you aren’t expecting and you must react. Our fundamental market is 75% done and when we sign one midfield player, that will be done."

Clearly distinguishing between fundamental and the 'other' market, nothing to do with Pogba / Real.

If we sign Pogba I think we still need a defender. Jones and Rojo are too shite even to be cover CB's.

yep..probably in total shock at the crock of absolutely mediocrity he's got.

ship out...ship in....waheyyyyyyyy
The thing is though, if both United and Dortmund had their first teams and they were both on the same stage of their preseason training, I'd say United would edge Dortmund. That would be even more the case if Pogba signs.

The Dortmund game highlights what we are massively missing. A physical presence in the middle of the park than can battle against teams like this.

We need to throw everything at Pogba now but it's extremely close to being done so I'm not worried.
That was dortmunds fifth game and only our second and half the first team isnt back yet.

Thats a bold claim. We've done a lot this summer but whether we're as good as dortmund is a long way from being determined yet.

Maybe I missed the question but it wasn't about transfers. He was talking about the performance of the team and what he thought about the 1-4.

He was talking about transfers, said things might change and some players might leave which need replacing

Paul pogba wore a "red" top on his holiday in Miami,he was pictured doing so!! A news outlet thought this relevant, like Paul's trying to send a message, through his sports casual attire!!

"I wasn't expecting to see how crap Memphis, Jones and Rojo are. I'm a great manager not a miracle worker, therefore it's come apparent I need more than just four" in a Portuguese accent of course.

It's not just Raiola going to Miami, I suspect it's Woodward, too, along with a doctor for the medical, a couple of lawyers, and a photographer.

They're going to sign the contract on a 100 foot yacht (one foot symbolically representing every million pounds of the transfer fee), and as he signs, we'll have several bikini clad supermodels dancing around Pogba as Woody throws a stack of $100 bills in the air to "make it rain".

It's a world record signing, and we're going to make it a world class signing ceremony.

Where does that come from?

Yeah and Dortmund have also sold very important players. I think so anyway (but I'll drop the topic now as I don't want to get off topic).

Usually the transfer threads get closed when the transfer is officially done. A new thread is open then.

So our only hope is to make another 5000 posts before Pogba is signed. Otherwise it would look like half a signing.
We can't have that fellow muppets, I can already see the headlines! "United sign Pogba for world record fee, but Paul Pogba thread on RedCafe missing record posts leaves a sour taste"

Gone a bit quiet this... Not sure if i like it.
Need more rumours.
