Panday: "#Pogba allo #United? It would be a momentous transfer. But it's #Bonucci the irreplaceable to #Juventus" gianlucadimarzio.com/news-cat/perin…

Sounds encouraging!

James is a no.10. We have Mata and Mikitaryan for that role. Pogba is a no.8!
This is slightly concerning for me, is Pogba really ready to play as a No.8 in a 4-2-3-1 formation with all the responsibility that comes with the role? Or are we going to shift to a 4-3-3 (which I gree with) but if we do what do we do with the likes of Rooney, Mata?

Maybe we are letting this one slip away

I would see the funny side if Madrid swooped in and snapped him up....and they could so easily if they really want him

Those that worry about Real are right to worry

Tancredi is Bein Sports rep, right?

He seems to think this is done, along with Richard Keys.

€145m being the total fee.

Openly talking about the Pogba transfer and saying only Bonnuci is irreplaceable

I agree. I honestly think we made a few bids but are now looking elsewhere and Real are ready to pounce.

Juve taking the piss with what they're demanding if those tweets are true. Just tell them to piss off.

Real Madrid can't afford him without selling, James now wants to stay.

There's no way they will pay Raiola his 20% commission fee either.

They've been priced out unless someone comes up with £70M for Morata.

Why is everybody not optimistic now? It's never been more obvious that he's leaving and Madrid have been down playing him.

Football Italia says Real Madrid are pushing hard for Pogba... Marca are saying due to James staying, they won't have the funds to buy Pogba

Maybe it's the muppet in me starting to take over, but i'm far more inclined to believe Marca

Hoping we tell Juve to feck off with their silly demands. Not a disaster if this doesn't go through, they are holding us to ransom the cocky bastards.

Because there are too many sources saying Real are going for him now. They want their new toy and will get him if they push hard enough.

I think it's 50/50 but you can never write them off.

No way, this is our chance to establish ourselves as top dogs in the market. Will look like fools if it doesn't go through now.

This. Can't believe we'll bend over like this ffs! State of us. Worrying that we'd agree to this. Pogba is surely not worth this hassle.

Madrid hard pushing for pogba :lol:

Perez is setting up his fall boy. Just look at the AS article, "oh we will offer pogba almost the same wages and transfer fee but Rodriguez would have to be sold." This comes out AFTER....AFTER Rodriguez has been plastered all over spanish media committing himself to real madrid :lol::lol:

Madrid are so salty, they are throwing their player under the bus to save the image.

Won't we look even more foolish bending down to their every demand? Worse still if he comes and doesn't make the impact that we want. We'd look even more idiotic after spending all that money. Don't like this at all.

Yes but the important sources (Marca and AS - Spanish based papers) are saying that Real aren't after him and can't afford him, they needed James to leave to be able to fund buying him.
They pulled out of the Gomes deal due to James saying he wants to stay.

There has been absolutely no solid source saying that Real are after him now. One tweet saying "Real have phoned for Pogba in the last hours" have led to EVERYBODY reporting that Real are back in for him. For all we know, Juve could have leaked that themselves to get United to speed up stuff. To be fair, as soon as that tweet came out, a Marca reporter tweeted that Real have made absolutely no contact, and no one in Spain reported it either

What midfielder should we be chasing in your opinion?

Before anyone gets excited, that guy isn't a Juventus employee.

Thanks for the information mate I am calm again!

So they are going to sell Rodriguez now after all the fuss that has been made about him wanting to stay and fight? The AS article says even Madrid's increased offer, which doesn't match ours still, would be dependent on selling Rodriguez.

I thought €120 million was crazy enough but I made peace with that. Now I'm realizing we are gonna pay up to €145 million and I don't think I would ever come to terms with that fee. It's ridiculous.

There are no reliable sources saying Real Madrid want him. It's all in your head because you're trying to be negative.

There are however many very credible sources saying we're at very advanced stages of negotiation. So how you come to 50/50 I have no idea.

That's not the point. I'm not a scout. I'm sure they're midfielders out there that can do the job, even if they might not be 'marketable'. Pogba is not Messi or Ronaldo who you're sure will have an impact. I just feel we're being humiliated by Juventus and we're just taking it up our bums for someone who's no Messi.
Don't get me wrong - I have no problem getting Pogba, but I cannot agree with all this hassle and even more demands from Juve - this player is not worth that imho.

Exactly, it's no point to advance If the stingy Italians raise their demands every time. If the rumors are correct, Madrid won't pay Raiola's fees either and they are offering as much as we are, so at the end of the day, Juve will look like the silly ones.

The only concern is that the other options that we have, namely, Matuidi, is not even close Pogba's level.

120 or 145, what's that to us? (the fans) Makes no difference. Pay it and then stay the feck away from Italian clubs for the rest of our history

I am actually a very positive person - there's no need for that kind of post.

Maybe I was being a tad dramatic though
