Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Imagine Juve completing Higuain deal. Then we pull out and real only offer 60 million euros. Do you think juve would want that ? Use common sense. It will be done.

The delay is because of Juventus playing hardball. All the evidence:

- Mourinho press conference stating "we have other options"
- Juventus trying to force us to pay huge bonus when Pogba renews his contract
- Juventus refusing to pay the agent's cut
- Raiola flying to Miami

Personally, I would have walk away from the deal because Juventus clearly have no intention to sell. We have already put our best effort offering Juventus 100 million, if Juventus can't accept that there is no reason to continue negotiating.

Ed Woodward & Raiola should have asked Pogba to put in a transfer request if he really wanted to come. The fact that Pogba can't choose between Juventus and Us is alarming.

Van Persie was desperate to come here. Mkhitaryan cried & threw chairs at Dortmund to let him go. Zlatan knew he was coming here.

Basically, the lack of commitment from Pogba to force this transfer is worrying me. I would have walk away from this deal from the very beginning.

There is no evidence. It's just hearsay. Don't let your imagination make you fret. Just relax. It'll be fine.

Must be ITK. This thread is too funny tbh, conclusions are being made left, right and center whereas we have no new information.

Nobody has any information though, we just assume twitter is correct.

Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

A for effort but that's such a RAWK post! They love a good poem.

Amen. We also need more posts folks. What if the deal will be signed on Monday and we stop just short of the Vidal thread? Keep them flowing. :)

I must say that my gut instinct is becoming that this will not end well for us. My fundamental reasoning for this is my believing that it is the will of the player to join Madrid. I also don't believe that Madrid 'can't' afford anyone. All reports are that so far, they do not WANT to spend that much on him. But they are interested, and he player probably wants it too.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's willing to forego some of the considerable amount that is allegedly owed to him in order to push things in the direction of Real. Also, Real have no one else to go after it seems,, and of course they must get someone.

With Juventus spending Money like it is going out of fashion i'm sure all is agreed behind the stage.

We won't pull out. We will be outbid by Madrid.

Yeah, but with whom?

I've asked this before, but when was the last time Madrid came in at the last minute and stole a player with a big bid without any of their media mouthpieces knowing about it? Obviously it's not impossible, but we're talking soemthing like a 5% chance here. Also it would be a huge betrayal from Raiola if early reports that the deal had been agreed were to be true, after all the money he's gotten from us this window.

The reports from last week were that Pogba has told Juve that he wants to leave and join United. How much more can he force it? It's up to United to do what it takes to get Juve to release him. Juve will make it as difficult as possible until the club coughs up as much as possible, because Pogba is a superstar.

I think you will be proven wrong. Real are just playing that they are interested in him for image purposes. He doesn't fit Florentino's galactico profile, there are also stories floating that Florentino is a little bit on a racist side so rest assured that even though Zidane would like to have him he is too well stocked in midfield for Florentino to splash all this cash on him.

It was the same in the Micky thread even After Dortmund had announced the deal with us

Some people simply do not have the fortitude for muppetry and are not emotionally strong enough for this . If nothing happens for a few days ,they go into a panic.

Big transfers take time. Wasn't Ronaldo out in the U S partying with the likes of Paris Hilton when his big move went through? He wasn't throwing any chairs around or crying. He simply trusted his agent to do his job. That's what those agents are there for.

The lack of updates the past few days is a little grating but I won't give up that easily.
Pogba is in Miami he is probably living it up today and tonight. It's rather obvious he and Raiola have made a decision. My guess is that tomorrow evening will give some clarity, and Monday/Tuesday that decision will become semi-official.

Problem is that no one can know for sure what he really thinks or wants. The fact that the journos didn't state that he had put a request doesn't mean he's not desperate to come here. Just the money incentive alone regardless of the clubs involved would be more than enough to convince a man to put pen to paper.

I don't think it's possible for Juventus to sign Higuain without selling Pogba. It'd be sort of funny if they got Higuain but we refused to match their price for Pog, leaving them in dire financial condition.

To be honest I don't really care whether we get him or not. He's obviously a fantastic player, but the huge sum to get him to come back to a club he left for free is a bit of a sore point.
Also I don't really think he wants to come to United for anything other than money, which is quite alarming.

The again if we sign him I will be chuffed to bits, I just won't be crying myself to sleep if it goes tits up like I've still got a feeling it might.

If we don't get another update tonight like yesterday I'll go muppet insane

He's not going to Madrid, but the thought of Ronaldo, Bale and Pogba in Madrid is frightening.

For it to go from being on like Donkey Kong, to now having to entertain the idea of RM preparing to feck us over is really tough on the strings for a muppet. Unless, of course, they intend to use that fax machine, or should I say faux machine.

I doubt Real are pretending to be interested so that they can ultimately lose him. Not sure how that helps them.

Also, I don't buy the black player thing either. If there was an undisputed black best player in the world, Perez would be after him.

Ultimately, it just seems to me that all we are bringing to the table in this deal is he fact that we have a lot of money. I believe that's the only reason the player or even his agent would want to do this deal with us currently, whereas Madrid is where they want to be. I keep asking myself that if Everton with their new money were willing to pay 150m and 400k a week, would I think they have a better chance than us of getting him? To me, the answer is no. I know we are not Everton, but in this scenario, it seems that we are more than willing to throw the money, but the player is reluctant. He may still come, as the offer is too good, but if Madrid make any sort of viable alternative for him, I don't think he'd struggle to choose the, sadly.

I also reckon he'd be forcing his way out of Juve in a manner that he is not exactly doing right now if it were Madrid offering the kind of money we are reportedly offering for him. Those kinds of things probably help the deal too, not him sitting there playing Mr Content at Juve.

If Madrid outbid our 120M for him then fairplay, that fee would be of a proven Ballor Do'r winner, someone like Ronaldo or Messi. Pogba may be the best in the world one day but he is not the best in the world right now.

People scared of Madrid again?

He has no place in their first XI unless Kroos is sold. He's not going to Madrid. Everything is against the transfer logically.

The Ballor Do'or is a piece of junk. I know Pogba wants to win it but it favors players playing in Spain. That's obvious when we won the treble in 99 and none of our players won it. feck it. To be the worlds most expensive player is a real big compliment and the perfect stage for recognition - rather then some egotistical nonsense trophy.

Having said that I should point out I can't remember who won it in 99 - but we never even won the domestic ones either.... A complete pile of crap. So let me edit this by saying I can't remember who won it that year but it does seem a bias and certainly towards Spain in general.

This deal is done and it's been done in Príncipe for a while. Just sorting out the details, Raiola, and letting Juve pre-spend the cash to avoid inflation.

A lot of uneccessary panic and pessimism.

Logic and muppets don't work together. That's in Muppetry 101.

That was a bloody travesty, to this day I can't understand it. With that being said, you can't argue that the best player in the world didn't win it in the past decade. Ronaldo won it in 2008 after our Double season. Kaka won it a year prior. Since 2008 until now it was either Messi or Ronaldo.
