Usually big transfer are done quite quickly or faster than this.

Ronaldo's transfer to Real has been closed in few days
Bale's transfer to Real the same

It was also a few days for Mata, Di Maria at United. Everytime we've waited so long for an official statement we always lost the player

I just want to say that it seems now to long for this to be true.

I would be happy if, but I'm not confident and I rather focus on other targets

With Pogba's contract up in 2 years time next summer, this is potentially the last chance Juve have of selling at a record breaking price.

They should be just as willing to get this wrapped up as United, especially if Pogba has expressed his desire to leave. No way I would pay any of the agent fee if it was previously agreed that Juventus would pay this as part of the €120m transfer fee.

Ronaldo's transfer took 12 months to complete!

Real Madrid didn't sign Bale until the end of the transfer window.

I think it's mainly been about Juventus getting their transfer dealings done before making this official. Maybe they were hoping they could bargain Napoli down, but looks like they haven't been successful in doing so.

Wouldn't be surprised if this has been wrapped up for a week or so.

Huh? Ronaldo to Madrid dragged on for 2-3 transfer windows. Bale was done a couple of days before transfer deadline day after Spurs had gone on their buying spree.

Bales transfer to Madrid took the whole summer to conclude.

Would be great to see United pull out of the transfer after Juve deposit the money for Higuian release fee.
The timing is very delicate for Juve. If they officially sign Higuain, it hurts their Pogba negotiating position as we then know that they HAVE to sell, which is 100% why they keep "claiming" that one has nothing to do with the other.

I would think they'd want the Pogba deal locked in before locking in Higuain, but reports would seem to be to the contrary. Unless, of course, Pogba is locked in and there's been an agreement to not announce until Pogba returns from Miami, giving Juve time to make some purchases without being taken to the cleaners by teams knowing they have all this cash.

Bale's transfer closed in a few days

Dragged on and on till deadline day with Spurs spending the money.

The Ronaldo deal actually dragged on for the whole summer and didn't happen so they had to wait a year.

Big transfers always take ages. The exact opposite of what you are saying.

It's completely unreasonable to believe that Juventus, the most skint big club in European football, would have a net -€150m worth of transfers this window. Are these journos that gullible, and their fans that deluded?

Of course Juve will say that buying Higuain has no direct relation to Pogba. Who wants to be known as a club who has to sell in order to buy. I cant remember them spending this much in recent years.

I hope we don't end up paying Raiola's 20%. Juve agreed on it with him and they should be honouring it. Don't blame us or Raiola.

AS say Raiola has cancelled Pogba's medical tests in Miami as there's no agreement.

What a load of waffle.

There is no doubts that this transfer will not happen. Woody is so far gone that there is no way he backs out.

So with no agreement, they booked medical tests. But because there was no agreement, they cancelled the medical tests. Incredible journalism.

I changed my vote. Feck the scrote. If he wants to play for us he would have signed.
maybe joking.

So Higuian is going to be announced today. Guess that fits well in the timeline that the Pogba announcement will be tomorrow quite well.

I think, by now, every man and his dog knows Juve have a big wad of cash from the Pogba sale. I blame you for this not happening yet btw. You're in the same town as Poggie but you still haven't pulled your finger out!

Ah, I've referenced this a couple of times in this thread but it wasn't picked up on. People seem to remember the 'Chilevision' event more for some reason.

But I'm pretty sure he was a rapper than a DJ. ;)

I remember making this at the time.

Think it might have the been the singer at Vidals sisters wedding you're thinking of.

Juve cannot pull out of Higuain deal, they're too deep into negotiations.

If Raiola truly is meeting with Juventus today, and everything goes well, I can see him leaking information tonight.

Don't know why people love the idea of Morgan, Pogba and Matiudi. That would be one-dimensional as feck. If we add another midfielder after Pogba then it's hopefully someone who can keep the ball, distribute it and control the game from deep while not beeinf useless at doing a bit if the dirty work too.

You are basically describing someone like Verratti though; which highlights how difficult it would be to get a player like that.

Contrary to some of the talk I can't see any situation where the two deals are not linked.

It's done IMO. No way Juve would pay the money if they didn't have it already. It's just a matter of time!

Hang on.
I thought all the negotiating had been finished with and Riaola was in USA to present the full deal to his client (Pogba). Now the story has moved on?
Is Riaola now back in Italy or is he negotiating by phone?

Are you the cousin of the cousin of Daniel Carberry?

They're also signing Gabigol. All these signings are way out of character for Juve, I am convinced he's coming. Time to get the Pogba tattoo.
