The AS article saying Pogba's medical was cancelled:

New chapter in the saga Pogba . The meeting between Raiola and the player on Palm Island, Miami , made an unexpected news for the interests of Manchester United. The number of transfer from French club Mourinho will be around 120-125 million euros. From England and Italy completed the signing take for a few days now , but the player's representative commission (25 million euros) has stopped for the moment Pogba 's arrival at United. The Italian doctor Italo Linfante , the Miami Cardic and Vascular Institute and consultation at Jackson Memorial Hospital, would be responsible for carrying out medical reconocimietno to fubolista in Miami, but Raiola has canceled

Past 150m Euros. 94m (Higuain), 35m (Pjanic) 20m?(Pjaca), 20m (Gabigol). But they made 30m on Moratta. Looks like 120m on Pogba and have a few more million coming in with the likes of Zaza, Pereyra and Sturaro heading out.

I'm guessing that's more then what they budget for. The Pogba deal has to be funding some of their moves unless they won a lot of money with the bookies fixing matches again.

TBF we wasted 25m on depay so what's the big deal giving 20m to Raiola?
Because it's up to Juve to pay the fee, it's their responsibility for putting the clause in there in the first place.

Why is it never straightforward with us? Why does Woody make us endure this muppet rollercoaster every season :(
With Higuain done, I reckon this will be wrapped up soon

Hang on.
I thought all the negotiating had been finished with and Riaola was in USA to present the full deal to his client (Pogba). Now the story has moved on?
Is Riaola now back in Italy or is he negotiating by phone?

I think he flew back to "finalise the deal" according to Di Marzio and others.

Ffs Woody just pay the greedy fecker.
He's not the greedy one in this situation, Juve are. They agreed to give him 20% of any future transfer fee and now that a transfer looks likely they don't want to honor their agreement and expect us to pay for it.

Can anyone remember the last time any of our signings had their medical outside Carrington?
That was the whole reason we built Carrington, so it can all be in house. Surprise surprise Spanish press talking BS again. They never give up do they?

1. AS are the Spanish equivalent of The Sun.

2. Why the hell would Pogba have his medical in Miami whilst still on his holidays?

Completely made up rubbish from just one source. No one of any credibility is stating the same.

Somehow I don't think AS would be the ones to get the scoop on a cancelled medical.

They are a poor source, more opinionated who people laugh at for their propaganda attempts!

On positive note, maybe United and Juve waited till the Higuain transfer to be on (just keep the fan happy with a markee player)

On a negative note, Raiola is an absolute c*** so we can never know with. Even if we already took 2 of his players this summer (Ibra and Mkhitaryan) so the details are maybe agreed with him

AS can suck my balls, what is wrong with them? Even Marca wasnt so crazy to come up with shit like that.

AS? Oh come fecking on. They are absolutely shite. Have they ever gotten anything right that wasn't already reported?

Why am I starting to get a bad feeling that this transfer is going to end up not happening?

Because it wouldn't be the first time we made a balls of what seemed like a done deal? Including as recently as the Sanches transfer, in this same transfer window?

Lets face it, if the commission really was a sticking point, then we could just tell him to stuff it (in the nicest possible way ;)), because no one else is going to pay it either. Either he moves, and Riola has to accept a reduced commission, or he doesn't and he gets nothing.

Or is that too simplistic?

I was wrong, AS are worse than The Sun, who only went as far as sending paparazzi to camp outside Pogba's place.

I would think that after working with him for Miki and Zlatan we have a decent relationship with Mino. His commission was never the sticking point IMO.

Tell me this are AS always this untrested in our transfer business? Or is this because is could be a record breaker or because we're beating Madrid to the player?? I've never seen them write so much about a target of ours before.

And AS specifically mentioned that Dr. Check that Doc's twitter BIO.
