Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

To be fair, he's a bullshitter.

I'm not convinced he is personally. And with regards to this particular saga, I can't think what he's said that's been so terrible. But the pitchforks gottaland somewhere until we get our Pogba I guess.

Fwiw, De Brun has taken a lot of unfair stick in the wake of this recent update. He's maintained that he still thinks the deal would go through, and has largely given his personal opinion on bits and pieces. He's expressed fear that the length of time taken may allow Real back in, and it isn't exactly a secret that Zidane wants the player.

He is making it sound as if we are dragging our feet on the deal - we might be but then again even if we had Pogba signed, he would still be in Miami right now so we really do have time.

Also he says if Woodward fails to get Pogba, then his job is unattainable. The man responsible for making United the most profitable team in the world when its suffering the most on the pitch, is not going to get sacked cos of Paul Pogba for god sake.

That they do!

I followed Di Marzio on Twitter approximately 7 minutes before he tweeted the Pogba news...

You're all very welcome.

The question in my mind is that's well and good - Raiola is going his 20% of the sale but, United are going to have to stump for it by basically tacking on 20m to the final fee. But, then there is the agent fees - which is separate from the 20% that Raiola is owed from the sale of Pogba by Juve. Say if it was Mendes brokering the deal, he'd get some fee out of it - that still needs to be paid and that seems to me where this deal is being held up because now Raiola is supposed to get yet another amount but, who is supposed to pay that?

I suspect that we will make an agreement with Raiola which will see us not paying the full 20% for the transfer fee cut but will be topped up with a signing on bonus. Something to that effect.

This one is so done I'm already looking at our next muppet signing next summer.

Antoine Griezmann!

I don't understand what Delaney is trying to say here.

ESPN are putting up the story he wrote 24 hours ago (and is therefore behind?) Or that someone copied him?

I think there's a typo in his tweet. It should be "I think you'll find they're putting up info I made up 24 hour ago."

Thats what makes this deal so complicated. Its not just the usual two parties arguing, its three. So even if two parties might agree on one issue the third might now. Then two other parties will agree on another issue and the first party may not.

That saga will be even worse than this. At least this saga we have Di Marzio reporting it and he is a bit reliable. A saga based on a player in Spain? my god. AS and Marca will have a new story every day.

Which is all well and good, a man is entitled to his opinion. He's also a fan too.

None of what you have posted is either him saying he will or won't sign. When asked to do that, he says he believes he will. He's entitled to think things should have moved quicker, as his opinion is such a deal should have been in the works for months. Hardly crime of the century. He's also said that if this breaks down due to the agent fee thing, he holds Woody accountable, as again, this should have been foreseen and sorted months ago.

Why on earth should he be savaged for that?

Gomes to Barca
To be fair he just said that Gomes was to become a priority for Juve which may well have been true. But Barca seemed to blindside everyone on that transfer including the Spanish press and Real.

We have to remember with the fee's that this information is being fed to them by Juve so they will probably be inflated so the fans are less unhappy.

The same happened with Mkhitaryan, all the German media were saying it was a dortmund record £35m, but the club never announced it as a record and then we saw that the fee was in fact £26m.

It will be a record but it will probably be the original £100m all in.

What I can get from that is that we have agreed to make Raiola's fees our problem. So, whatever fees or commission Raiola is getting will be paid by us. Out payment to Juve is €110m. So there shouldn't be a problem.

Obviously ITK, ask me anything. Yes, Santa exists. Yes, we are selling Rojo. Yes, Mourinho will flick Pep's ear in the next derby.

If this doesn't happen can we instead feed the muppets by roasting you on a stake and letting them feast on your flesh ?

I might have misread, but doesn't Di Marzio's article say that the next 48 hours will be important, not that it should be completed in 48 hours?

It's through translating the page, so I might be wrong

For what it's worth the Juventuz lot are resigned to losing him after this news. This is the best source we will get.

Di Marzio says its on while Marca have been denying or playing down Pogba mainly, id be surprised if we don't get him.

Haven't been in this thread for almost 300 pages.

2 Questions:

1. How does Di Marzio get his info? Is he being briefed? A source?

2. How come Olly is not posting gifs in here?

This is why I think people that say Ed is dithering don't get how much is involved to getting this over the line.

Right and with the amount of the deal - it just makes it that much tougher in the negotiation. The easiest part I think has been done as was reported a while ago - the personal terms between United and Pogba. The whole Real thing doesn't even come into play - even if they waded in, they are going to have just as a hard time getting the deal done because it's never been about Pogba not wanting to come to us.

He'd better not drink/smoke anything because we got a game on the 7th.
He's not playing without any training. Even if he signs next Friday, there's no way we will play him with just a week of training in his legs.
