I voted no initially but as I've been thru these last few weeks I'm getting more and more excited about the potential of this fantastic footballer, who is EXACTLY what we need, playing in this team. BUT, I can't help but be a little disappointed if the rumours r too be believed that we are paying £100million, AND bonuses AND paying juventus' obligation to this agent. I hope we r not setting ourselves u to be bent over in future.

Pogba's ok. It's the £100 million I'm not a fan of really. Can get a pretty good midfielder and striker for that money. It's goals that win matches when all said and done. Plus I think we've been taken for a ride here. He's good but he's not worth £100 millions imo.

Imagine if Madrid were just waiting for us to do all the negotiating and they just swoop in and pay that.
We need a top midfielder who helps us in the attacking third. Pogba is the only one of note who would be available if we splashed enough money. We are desperate for a midfielder and Juve know it and Pogba is contracted to Juve until 2019 so Juve don't need to sell. We had to pay what they ask or else there would be no deal.
Would you have rather we paid 30m and got Matuidi instead?
Everyone says this, but who? Only midfielders left that are even remotely close to Pogba's ability are Matic and Matuidi, both of whom are okay at best and have very different play styles to what we need. We are also stocked in the Striker department, we have 4/5 players who are very capable of playing there, one of which is one of the best strikers of the past decade.
As it looks like we may finally be on the verge of victory (or at least the end) I would like to compliment my fellow super-muppets (you know who you are) on your commitment to this great cause.

There may still be a few days between all parties agreeing, Pogba coming back from vacation and eventually signing for us. There are still a lot of media spins and muppets being tortured by Madrid before we see a conclusion.
Where can you ? Absolute nonsense. A second rate Higuain went for close to 90 million, 18 year old Renato sanchez went for 35 million and isn't proven. Wenger syndrome at its finest.
Matuidi is the same level of the current midfielders we have and he's 29. We would have added depth and not quality. With Pogba we add a lot of quality to our midfield. This is a player who at 23 years old has played at the highest level and knows what it means to win.
I'm looking ahead. We'll need someone to replace Rooney and Zlatan's only signed for 1 year.
On the plus side, by letting this run on for a month you've saved about £1m in wages.

The way I see it is we're addressing our midfield problem that we've starved our selves with for years I agree 100Million is to much but if it fixs our fragile midfield im for it. Let's get him in and then go for matuidi too!

No player is worth £100m the same way Higuain isn't worth 97m euros, John Stones isn't worth 60m euros and David Luiz isn't worth 50m. A selling club will always dictate the price of a player and the more you're desperate for the player, the price keeps rising. It's not that Pogba as a player is worth 100m but he is worth 100m to us.
Pogba is already an exceptional player and being only 23, he will only improve.
It's also worth looking at some of the Juventuz reactions right now to see exactly how high they rate this guy. The most grounded these guys have been throughout the whole saga. Maybe we can all be friends when the whole thing is done and dusted?
