I could have sworn people thought our midfield was fixed by signing the amazing Schneiderlin and Schweini... Supposedly Pogba is the saviour of this 'atrocious' midfield this time.
Well if he isn't who would be?I could have sworn people thought our midfield was fixed by signing the amazing Schneiderlin and Schweini... Supposedly Pogba is the saviour of this 'atrocious' midfield this time.

It's their new advertising campaign. Like the "there will be haters" last time.Adidas have done another silly "blah blah blah" thing, with a gif involving Mourinho.
What is this crap? I can only assume they are trying to say not to believe what you read. Or is it a shot at the media for going overboard?
(Also, last post was 18 mins ago! New record for inactivity in this thread!)
Well I'm one for a start, and not ashamed. Shitting myself and proud!
In fact, until I see him with the shirt I still am. Totally haven't ruled out Madrid letting us do all the leg-work then pretty much making one call at the very last minute saying "Yeah, we'll just match whatever they've said. Which club do you fancy, Paul?"![]()
Unless they can sell James in the next 24 hours or so i highly doubt that'll happen so i wouldn't worry
That person must have been an expert at wumming. What's really crazy is some people once said Fellaini would sort out our midfield. Can you believe that?
Sleep deprivedYou need help!
Not seen enough of him to say either way yet. But I still hunger for this signing, if anything he will bring some much needed entertainment with his skills and ball control. We've only had Martial that can do that, now we've brought three of these ball wizards...Well if he isn't who would be?

Same here!
The Ronaldinho, Sneijder and Vidal sagas hurt too much as I'm willing to fully commit myself to this one.. Nevertheless, as hard as I try, I'm still pretty excited by the news.
So do we think a medical has already been done secretly or does this still need to be organised?
Is the 48 hour timescale relating to the announcement of the agreement between the clubs or his actual signature?
I'm impatient.

Give him a break. The pressure must be unbearable on him after all this success he's had on here with his work. So much expectation. What if he fails and embarrasses himself with alerts in the single digits. What if he's presented with the dreaded sympathy posts like "Not your best work Olly, but we know you are a legend and look forward to be enraptured by your next masterpiece.@Olly Where's the new gif?
48 hours = lock down all additional bonuses for Juve like re-signing bonuses etc, get all the fees sorted. THEN medical.
Thankfully they've all fecked off. Was getting really tired of the constant moaning yesterday from them. What happened to all the depressing, "He's off to Madrid!" bastards? This thread was the height of depression yesterday.
You don't say!So do we think a medical has already been done secretly or does this still need to be organised?

No Medical, if passed, then signature
Wasn't he pretty much the first midfielder (I use that term loosely) we bought in years? During the barren midfield years before, even the likes of Charlie Adams were briefly considered by various posters. If that doesn't scream desperate I don't know what does. What's really crazy is some people once said Fellaini would sort out our midfield. Can you believe that?
Pogba wouldn't have suited LVG's style either. The manager and the style of play are very critical. For the likes of schneiderlin and Herrera, LVG was completely unsuitable. BFS less so. Under Mourinho, both Herrera and schneiderlin will do much better if given the chance.I could have sworn people thought our midfield was fixed by signing the amazing Schneiderlin and Schweini... Found the twit from last night.Eh? I just saw it on my twitter feed and it says 38 minutes ago. And the date?
Anyway if it is, good for the muppets.

Yes, we bought someone who flourished as a pseudo target man playing as a 10 and were then appalled when he didn't do well at CM. Hell, we even tried him as the DM, so so stupid.Wasn't he pretty much the first midfielder (I use that term loosely) we bought in years? All there is to all this 'follow' stuff is quite simple and it doesn't involve an inside track;
People connected to the club (ie. sponsors and United website journos etc.) are seeing the same reports as us and are highly confident that this is a done deal and have decided to follow Pogba on intagram/twitter etc. They certainly have not been briefed of the news by United - who quite clearly have the story on lockdown until they decide otherwise. All the reliable leaks have come from the Juve side. The reliable journos in the UK with connections to United have hardly got a sniff and you can be damn sure that they'll know about the deal before Chevrolet's social media team and the like - as is always the case.
Naa, what ever Olly does will be classic I am sure.Give him a break. The pressure must be unbearable on him after all this success he's had on here with his work. So much expectation. He needs to prepare.
I remember one mentalist PM'ing me talking about how impressive Fellaini had been for us.What's really crazy is some people once said Fellaini would sort out our midfield. Can you believe that?
This place goes into meltdown even at the slightest mention of Real Madrid. Yes they maybe interested but when were they not? In fact, one of the earliest stories which came out was that Madrid made an enquiry and were quoted 120 mil + Kroos after which they backed out. Zidane maybe still interested in him but what has changed that Juventus demands be any different now? Madrid still don't have the money to finance this kind of transfer and the players which they were looking to sell for huge sums (Morata and James) are both staying. People need to be more patient and logically (Higuain transfer, our negotiations regarding addons etc.) everything suggests this is moving in the correct direction.

Mods, I know I'm asking a lot here but when you have time could you look into implementing some sort of summary widget on the transfer threads? Something either at the top of the page on or the right hand side that summarizes all the news/gossip that's been posted from reliable sources regarding this possible transfer.
Threads like this move so fast that you end up with loads of duplication and people explaining to other people what they missed while they were sleeping or at work. I tried to go back through the pages today to find out why everyone was so excited, I had to go back about 30 pages to find one Tweet that caused everything.
Do people think he genuinely has a passion for the club (after all, no CL etc.) or that he's a massive money grabber? I have to say that I can't see any real reason for him to return to us apart from really, really wanting to. He could definitely get the money elsewhere.
