Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

They have an entire blahblah campaign also for other clubs they sponsor, I think they just want to market the theme of the transfer market. I actually doubt they are hinting to specifc deals. Stormzy is a United fan but he is also a addidas sponsored artist, United is addidas sponsored club, Pogba is an addidas sponsored player and Pogba to United is a huge story this window, yea obviously they are linked but I think it just fits in their theme, it is not a special addidas announces Pogba to United advert by any means as far as I'am concerned.

Deigo Costa blah blah, they are using players where there is a lot of transfer talk and rumours of which some are not true

With all due respect to Zlatan, Di Maria, Schweinsteiger, Berbarov, even arguably Ferdinand and Rooney, this one is surely our largrest muppet signing.

When was the last time we signed a world class player with everything ahead of him and not behind?

Juan Sebastian Veron. (Gutted didn't work out for him but it's him)

So, Norwood hasn't really followed Pogba? It was a fake?
Norwood has followed Pogba. A fake Norwood account tweeted done deal with the medical tomorrow and it was posted on here by accident.

I don't understand why the guys on the juve forum despise us so much. I don't recall us doing them any harm, and we have given in to their price.

Three threadmarks saying basically the same thing all afternoon....i know it's better than threadmark for a whole week but I need more!

Kinell. Cheers for that.
Still not in the top ten threads on the caf though:

Yes, thanks for the education, but what the latest reports say the entire fee (including Raiola fee) is 110m euros, which is approx £92m, you Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime

Wrong.

Just got a "You do not have permission to view this thread", got excited for a second

Erm no it's not. It's their job to pass along what they know, that's all. This is not some paid service where you sit on your arse and get spoonfed incontrovertible facts so you can feel good about the latest transfer. You do have to exert a little effort of correlating what all the journos are saying and then make an informed decision based on all the available information.

But when they don't know anything they try to pass along information too so as to appear as relevant, it happens constantly and it leads to a situation where there are very few genuinely reliable journalists on transfers. I appreciate there are a lot of moving pieces with transfers, especially ones of this scale but only a few journalists are actually worth following.

The tweets I have been reading say €110m to Juve and United paying Raiolas 20% cut, so we are paying more than €110m and Juve are getting a world record transfer fee.

So, basically, today we got the same update that we have been getting for over a week: negotiations are still on-going.
Right?

It's been said before, but even if we got all the profits from Pogba shirt sales, that would be a tiny drop in the bucket of what he brings commercially to United. He comes to United, he becomes the new face of the club. Rooney's career is winding down, Zlatan is only here for another year. Rashford and Martial seem pretty quiet. United need someone that sponsors will be excited about having their face all over their product. He will attract new sponsors, as well as increase the renewal fees for current sponsors.

He is also one that is starting to get in with celebrities and superstar US athletes, and I see this to continue and grow, especially with the publicity that he'll get over being the most expensive footballer ever. Adidas will likely also get him to events in future off-seasons with other stars of theirs, have them all start hanging out, following each other on social media, etc. All of that raises the profile of Pogba and United. He can also become the first football/soccer player to really appeal to the urban youth in the US. He's already considered one of the most marketable athletes in the world, and when you add in United's marketing pull, the commercial possibilities are endless.

Make no mistake, as much as we want a great midfielder like Scholes on the field, we wouldn't be splashing 100m on him if he was like Scholes off the field (i.e., quiet, reserved, almost a homebody, etc.--all things that we loved about Scholes, but not things that marketing people in modern football would have loved).

This.
Great post Mr. Miamispartan. Do you live in Miami?

No wonder MR was pushing Pogba out from United,Juve getting player for free in return they agreed to give 20% of next transfer to him. Maybe i am wrong tho.

Di Marzio saying 110 m euros gross? Where is the 145m euro tancredi was talking about?

110m base + 10m addons + Riaola fee = 145m. More likely 100m though, given it should 110 WITH addons it seems, but we'll see on that part.

To be fair, I am. Sorry about that remark. It's just arrogant posts irk me when even the season has not started. Names on paper doesn't make great teams. There is difference between a good squad and a great team, have to work for that.
That's fair mate - you're a good poster, hope you stick around. Juve currently have a fantastic side.

Well, it seems that this is done. Congratulations guys, enjoy your galáctico :). Probably United will keep the transfer record for a while.
Now with Mourinho, Ibra and Pogba the team has much more character.

The idiots over at that Juve forum think they have a chance to get Veratti. How fecking delusional can you get, RAWK levels
