Premier League Gameweek 7

Pochettino looks like he's got his tactics spot on. Gone

Pep looks like he's gone with more of a 4231 today, which I guess is a compliment to Spurs with him going with two holding midfielders. He could have easily gone for Gundogan and Silva ahead of Fernandinho, but I guess he thought they wouldn't match the physicality of Spurs' midfield.

Spurs look excellent, really taking the game to City.

Spurs showing what the rest of the PL should wise up to, don't show them any respect and counter their pressing with pressure and the cracks starts showing.

People are giving them far too much respect on the back of that baldheaded twat being their manager and them pulling off some fancy passes.

Can't understand why Otamendi doesn't draw more hate and ridicule. He oozes modern footballer.

Spurs and Liverpool are better to watch than city IMO. They're also the only two teams who's style of play will expose city style.

Genuinely hope that if Spurs can't push City Liverpool do. Be monstrously boring if Guardiola walks the PL in his first season.

spurs really just have been coming to the fore in the last two season. They are quick, athletic and play with high intensity.

We do it in spurts but honestly, the faster we get rid of Fellani/Rooney and other slow players the better. This is the type of football we should be playing and we arent far off from having a more talented bunch who can do the same.

Would rather see City win it than Liverpool. Can you imagine Brick-Top and their insufferable fans if they win it?

Youre right but its a little bit worrying because this is just not the way Mourinho plays. The high point of his era is well gone.

To think he was inferior to Morgan a few years ago.

Baffles me why we dont use Schneiderlin more.
Schneiderlin is not holding mf. His best game this season was unsurprisingly as #8.

Root for Totteham this game.

Disagree with this because it was only just 1.5 seasons ago he hoisted the prem trophy at a canter. Amazing at the selective bias about Mourinho's success. Not sure how you can call 1 season an "era".

Spurs won't be able to keep up the intensity over the whole game. They are overpowering deliberately and it payed off so far, but I expect City to get a lot more space the longer the game runs.

Amazing how spurs fullbacks can put in first time crosses. Our fullbacks need to take 3 touches only to smash it into the opposing defender.

Makes such a difference to the pace of the game and the difficulty to defend it.

Wouldn't say he was inferior. The two were different, in my opinion. Wanyama had a more disciplined role, whilst Schneiderlin was given the license to get forward more. Both complimented each other very well.

Two teams on display that are better than us. Add Liverpool and Arsenal to the mix and you can see we have a huge fight on our hands to finish top four.

Let's pray.
