Just been watching the 8 odd best goals of ryan giggs.

Thats nowhere near the best selection, what about those european goals

IMO his greatest goal was the 3nd goal in the 3-2 win over Jueventus at Home.

Couldent have come at a better time for us!

Most of Giggs goal are class but that one in the semis of the fa cup has to win it.

He scored a good one against QPR
Another good one against Liverpool in the 3-3 thriller
The impossible angle one can't remember who against but it was in a cup match I think
The one against Tottenham nutmeg round the keeper jobbie.

Like I said........too many to list

His header from 18 yards against Cov last season wasn't too shabby...

Blackburn...

The day after we won the Premiership for the first time.

A free-kick from 25 yards (he was still drunk).

Flew in it did...I was stood right in its path in the Scoreboard end.

Me and a mate sucked it in.

Giggs vs Arsenal was the best without a doubt....closely followed by his goal against Liverpoo when we were leading 3-0 !

What a marvellous chip that was !

Thanks to all the reminders above i would have to say these are my personal favs.

1st: Arsenal in the cup
2nd: Spurs in the season we dident win the title i think we were playing at home and he vollyed it, good little goal.
3rd: 18 yard header last season, (I were right behind that goal )

1) goal v Arse FA Cup (Maradona-like)
2) goal v QPR (a) 93-94 season (mazy run and excellent finish)
3) goal v West Ham (h) 91-92 season (sweetly hit first-time volley)

Best Assist: the one that almost went in v Charlton (a) 2000-2001 season

Ohhh the ole goal yeh?

well, watever. i still say it was the 1 against the gooners in 99

Just remembered another one

Julian Dicks went to twat him from behind and Giggs toches the ball with the outside of his right foot, turns and runs round Dicks to his left and collects the ball, has a little run and gives it to Cole who gives it Back to Giggs for him to score I think or did he pass it?

Anyways............................CLASS!!!

against Spurs at Shite Hart Lane in the 92-93 season. Nicked the ball of a defender, played with it, rounds the keeper, puts it away.
That was in our best kit that was. The one we won the premiership with the first two times.

Back then Giggsy would get a goal and then look fecking depressed.
Now he celebrates a bit.

All whatever happened to that poncey dance he used to do with the guv'nor.

where the feck did somebody find this?

Got to be that goal - some players are just defined by a moment of genius :D

There`s a THAT goal scored at this level occasionally. Geoff Hursts goal in 66, was probably a THAT goal....yes you know which one !.... and THAT`S one reason why its a THAT goal.
Goals like these are scored at pub level, at all levels, but are only important to those involved. Thankfully, Giggs goal against Arsenal was important to a vast level of people.
Not alone was it one of the best individual goals I have seen, but I feel certain,THAT without it, there may have been no treble at all, maybe nothing!
..and THAT`s all folks! ;)

jeeze for one minute i thought MW16 had come back

he hasn't changed any single bits has he ;)

Well, Giggs' semi-final goal against Arsenal has to be the best & most important :

1) not only did he show great anticipation in cutting out Vieira's pass, he then went on his amazing run with skill, intelligence & bravery to score that wonderful goal.

2) His goal was very important because:

i)it was the winner ii)it kept our Treble hopes alive iii) Arsenal was having the upper hand with a player advantage iv) It was even better because it was Arsenal! ;)

I really don't see a need for additional striker. Since we have the RW covered with Kleb and Ronaldo, it seems that Ole will assume a striker role when he comes back in the team. Having one of the deadliest finishes in the EPL, I really think it is hard to top Ole's skills with a new buy. Yes, I am saying that I don't think Saha is better than Ole. Getting Saha will mean Ole is our no3 and Diego our no4 striker. I think ole is better than a no.3 striker.

So here are the two questions I have:

Do you really think we need a new striker?

Is Saha better than Ole? (consider that the former will take Ole's role as a second striker and possibly the supersub role).

Ole is first option at RW intil Ronaldo can develop further. Kleberson is back up to Scholes.

We only needa new striker if people feel Forlan is not up to the job. We only play with one striker so bringing in a Saha or Viduka would mean Forlan is well fecked for a place and may be forced to leave.

I prefer Ole up front to him on the wing. But I think he'll be going to the wing when he comes back.

I don't know if Saha (or another striker) is being brought in to play as a second striker, with Ole on the wing, or if (Saha ) will be third choice, with Forlan leaving in the summer.

And I agree that Ole is better than Saha.

I think Saha can cover for Ruud whereas Ole and Forlan cannot. He could play up front alone and let Ruud rest. I suppose Viduka could do this as well but SAF wants to buy young players. Fair play to him.

As i said in another thread, didnt Ole play up front on his own when we thrashed Juve?

he'll be a great option for either wide or centre when he gets back, and in the abscence of RVN maybes we'll see him paired up front in a 4 4 2

ferguson much like God often has designs far removed from Man's expectancies :snowman:

and he works in mysterious ways :snowman:

While you may have a good memory with Ole's performance at RW at the end of last season, keep in mind that he was not playing well at all at the beggining of this season. I think that Kelbertson can give Ole run for his money at RW, and I wouldn't assign Ole at RW automaticaly.

Forlan must feel like crap with all this. He scores 5 goas in 5 games earlier this season, but yet is not enough.

One game dont mean he'll always be able to, I dont think he has the strength to play the holding role.
