Premier League Matchweek 25 (Feb 11-13)

Midtable, 2 points behind your own team. Your wumming makes you look incredibly daft at times.

Well, I suppose you could say that 6th place is just above midtable.

Abramovitch should just hire some semi-decent singer\songwriter to make up a few songs for their fans, their lack of imagination is amazing.

What do you mean? How can you not appreciate the brilliant lyricist who wrote "Chelsea, Chelsea..."?

Keep repeating this often enough and you might convince yourself to ignore the embarrassment of having spend hundreds of millions net, only to end up with a squad still sitting in midtable.
What could be more embarrassing than the way you finished last season?

Just occurred to me that we still have to go to places like Burnley, Middlesborough etc. Dogged well organised defensive teams.

Besides that freak result at old Trafford where we three away chance after chance, Burnley haven't got a single point away from home. It's always been said that you can't stay up on home form - except this year (probably)

What is it that makes teams perform so well at home, but crumble away every single game?
You're used to playing on the same ground in the same conditions at home games. Plus there's the fans obviously. Burnley seem to have taken it to the extreme though.

Mou and United might as well pack the PL because Glaston has penned us down for a 5th place finish. His wumming is so tedious, why do you guys entertain him by quoting his post.

Shame Burnley have resorted to just lumping it now. Hard to see how they can keep this up for 25 minutes.

We're not in the title race - it's a one horse contest.

As for United, I still have you down for a 5th place finish.
Is it really wise for Spurs fans to be making predictions?

Especially on the back of last season when everyone predicted they would make the top 2 and then somehow managed to fail that from nowhere.
You also don't have the best prediction record yourself on here.

I'm no Nostradumus and will wait for May to see where we end up. This league is far too unpredictable. It could come down to something as controversial as a referee decision. It's that tight.

I didn't have Glaston down as one of those 'net spend' types. Guess I was wrong

Good, hopefully Fab can open them up.

How do you see Conte shaping your midfield for next season? Obviously both Kante and Matic are quality, but neither offer any creativity and aren't particularly good on the ball. Would that be an issue going into CL next season?

Maybe a stupid question with an obvious answer, but would Kanté become the first player to leave a title-winning side and win the title with his new club?

To be fair, Glason's a 'anything that puts Spurs in a good light' guy, so I'm not that surprised that he pulls that one since it makes Tottenham look good.

I can see him keeping both but trying to bring in a Nainggolan or similar.

Mark Schwarzer left Chelsea in January 2015 to join Leicester, technically he didn't finish the title winning season but that's the only one that comes to mind right now. He made 0 appearances in each title winning season so poor guy never got a medal, Mourinho had a replica made for him for 2015 though.

And you could also say that 48 points is just below 2nd. Your club has a long history of choking...

Chelsea need to get the ball to Hazard to disorganise Burnley's back line. Nobody is moving their players out of position.
Hopefully an on form Mkhi and Martial would give us that thrust when we travel there.

Cheers for the response. IMO that would probably make Kanté the first real one there.

As usual you're just living in your own little bubble. If your club were big enough to spend more you would, simple as that.

The mid-table stuff is also silly nonsense, we're 2 points behind you and in better form. You should really save the small time crowing until May, were at best you might win the coveted "finish above United" trophy but no actual silverware.

Keane is having a decent game. Wonder who'll pry him from Burnley at the end of the season.
