Champions League Round of 16 (14th Feb - 15th Mar)

Arsenal are fatigued from EPL and are fighting for the fourth spot in EPL which is way more important than UCL, while Bayern have bought every player in Bundesliga and so can concentrate on second tier competitions like UCL.

That's a horrible excuse for a display like that.

I don't know if you are serious or not, but hey we live in a Democracy and everyone is entitled to their opinion, chill out.
I am totally serious. The only reason that Arsenal lost today is that they are not prioritizing UCL but they are prioritizing getting that fourth place in EPL that sends them to UCL next season.

He's joking man. Only Wumminator thinks seriously like that

I can just imagine Ty jumping up and down shrieking "away goals rule!" over and over again whilst Claude and Troops are going apeshit in the background.

He usually starts repeating the same sentence over and over when they interrupt him, louder and louder.

"Is it better than the Barca result or not?
Is it better than the Barca result or not?
IS IT BETTER THAN THE BARCA RESULT OR NOT?
....
I always stand by the manager!"

Love the little guy.

I'm actually bored of commenting about how predictable Arsenal are. Every single season the same thing happens. You can bet they will put in a heroes performance in the second leg and valiantly get knocked out. But hey they'll finish top 4 so it's all good.

His posts are almost always gash. I haven't seen the one that everyone is referencing, care to save me the trouble and tell us what his latest embarrassment is?

I would love to see Bayern play in the epl for One year

"The Gunners, who have been eliminated in the first knockout round of the competition in each of the last six seasons"

BBC

He was excellent in that tourney then but fell flat afterwards
Yes but after he went from Sao Paulo to Real Madrid if I am not wrong he went to Porto for an season with Lopetegui and Real bought him back, and it was Zidane who recovered him, to be fair I never was an big fan of him, but I must say around Kroos and Modric is easy to get better.

Brilliant. You've gotta love him.

Arsenal definitely brought their A-GAME.
They even to an away goal, so that's something to be positive about.
The main thing is that they finish in the top 4, so they can qualify for the CL.

I honestly don't know the specific post(s) either. I just know what everyone is laughing at when they are all of sudden tagging Wum's name.

Ah, ok I see, i will not say anything like that because it might be controversial to EPL fans around the world.

The problems go a lot deeper than just team selection. The last 12 years allowed Wenger to grow complacent. He was already an idealist. He wants to remain loyal to "his" development players and win with them showing that loyalty breeds success. Noble idea but not realistic in todays footballing world.

He won't change tactics. He believes just letting the players express themselves yields the best results. That never matches well against more organized teams or teams with equal or better players. He has always made these mistakes though. they have just gone unnoticed because he had a great blend of players for a number of years. 1999 vs. Galatasaray and 2011 league cup vs. Birmingham are the two real examples of lack of big game tactics and mentality from two completely different Wenger sides.

Its why I really have had no expectations to get past R16 for years now. Some Arsenal fans love to use "squad cost" as an excuse but the reality is, Atletico, Juventus and Dortmund all got to CL finals in last 4 years with lower squad cost, but Wenger's sides have been nowhere near that level of quality or form. Jardim outfoxed Wenger a few years ago and I thought then it was extremely obvious Arsenal should hire a new manager, like Emery. Not surprising result today for me at all.

Wenger should be replaced IMO. The last good player acquired was Alexis Sanchez.

For example, Coquelin and Khakha are mysterious players for me.

Ozil is a very unlucky acquisition: he was fantastic with Madrid.

Well, Arsenal is very strong financially and the recruitment is very disappointing.

Yes I know, but I don't want to be more trapped about the endless discussions why I still think some EPL teams are tactically behind the Continental Teams, like Jesus said about Redknapp Portsmouth when he was at Braga, they don't know what they are doing on the pitch.

Wumminater has become a Glaston copycat. Talk shit, and then disappear when things go bad.

Then the next time he comes, he just doesn't reply to people who mention his previous posts.

Arsenal got an away goal, could be massive in the return leg.
