Champions League QFs (11th - 19th April)

CL Knockout games at Old Trafford are usually rocking. If you are using home league games for your basis of OT atmosphere then you need to compare that against Juve's home league game as well. They are no where near as noisy as this.

This is true and it's the same for every club. The Camp Nou is silent most of the last time but against PSG it sounded amazing.

There's nothing like the Champions League knockouts.

Higuain cost €90 million and Pjanic cost €32 million = €122 million. Pogba cost €110 million. So not really that big of a difference. But yeah, we can agree that both Pogba and Higuain are ridiculously overpriced Higuain has been miles better than Pogba this season though - even though, I know they play very different positions. And we could surely use both him and Zlatan against most PL sides - especially all those draws at home.

And I'm not anti Pogba - quite the opposite.
Pogba cost €15m more and is 6 years younger and is home grown and plays in a more needed position. Higuain's fitness wouldn't cut it in the PL and his tendency to go missing when needed isn't the best quality to have.

Iniesta needs to be way quicker, we face Juventus not Granada

Gotta love the likes of Chiellini and Buffon celebrating good defending. So Italian.

Look at them panicking when messi has the ball. And there is three of them! Hoofing even when he's lost the ball. Good defenders turning to jelly

Juve don't seem to miss Pogba all that much. A well-oiled machine.
It would be very interesting to see how Juventus would have fared tonight with Pogba in the team. No way would they have had the solidity in defence and structure, but maybe Pogba would have brought a bit more cutting edge in attack?

Oh dear Sandro

I do wonder if most of you watch any other football outside of the Prem and the CL. Nothing on show tonight is anything out of the ordinary, seriously predictable result.

Dybala and Co haven't performed any better than they have at times this season.

Okay. Then how about Pjanic + €58 million in change instead of Pogba? From what I've seen, you could almost argue that he's been an upgrade for them. And I know he's missed a bunch of matches.

I know he's 3 years older than Pogba, and Pogba probably has the potential to be even better. I just think Pjanic is exactly the sort of player we are in need of. It's all just hypothetical.

You must be that guy rich because of all the money you won betting predictable results in the Cl between big teams.

It's different il give you that. English grounds have been diluted by tourists/prices/health and safety also. But Old Trafford in the past has created atmospheres far greater than this Juve one tonight, which does sound great.

I don't dispute that mate. It certainly is different. I actually already went to Old Trafford when we played you guys for the Champions league and it was fine.

Still not sure how a Hamburg reject like Rincon is in this game.
