The penalty rebound was class imo, shows that he breathes composure. He stayed so calm to think make such a typical Tennis move, playing the ball where the opponent is who will probably try to move to the other side.
That's a odd thing to praise him for Sammy. I thought it was a pretty standard/easy rebound as the keeper hit at almost directly back at Hazard.
But he had a great game though.

Indeed but mostly players directly shoot hard and as far from the keeper to try and secure the goal, he just placed the ball where the keeper already was because he knew the keeper would move to try and pevent what penalty takers usually do in the rebound.
Yeah it was a composed, crisp finish. But i suppose you'd expect that from someone of his quality.
I don't think he'll fully impose himself on a CL campaign until chelsea starts to be a very good attacking unit. If they have to play for a result vs city, what would they need to do vs barca and bayern?

People thinking he's even on the same level as Neymar are having a laugh. Games like that is Neymar's bread and butter. Still a very good player, mind.
He needs a move to Real to move into that second bracket, at the moment he's in that third tier and he's quite obviously never going to be in the Messi/Ronaldo top tier
IMO he is one of the most overrated players ever in the past years. Doesn't shine internationally, doesn't shine in the CL, he only performs in the PL and even here he is still very prone to matches like today, hell he's had a whole season where he did jackshit.

People really have ludicrously short memories on here. Has been Chelsea's best player over the course of a season and was only a week or so ago that he was their best player against City but no he's not allowed an off day.

I never said he didn't, but Neymar's ceilings in games of this stature is far greater, he's done it consistently in the past. Hazard hasn't done it for his NT or in Europe. There is no comparison between the two, one is younger and already a superior player. Not to add, Barcelona have been very dysfunctional this season, compared to runaway leaders in Chelsea.

He does, was class against City, but big players come up big when their teams need them to. I still think Chelsea are locked in to win the title, but if Spuds were to nick the title off them, games like this could be very important. Chelsea have been well rested all season and they're a few matches away from securing the title, there should be no reason for any of them to be half arsing things, especially their star player.

He'd walk into most teams in Europe. I'd say he is better than "very good". I have seen some Pool fans compare Coutinho to him, it is not even close
I'm being serious. He's had a great season (this season) before that he had a bad season and then season before that I don't remember. For the sake of the argument, let's say it was great.

That awful in the middle ruins the consistency, it puts that bit of doubt in your mind, if he can have a good season next year, I'll concede. But I'm not going to jump the gun and say. "Yup, an outstanding individual deserves to go to Madrid" Because only last year was he abysmal. He needs to completely distance himself from the last year version of him.
And to to that, he needs one more solid season under his belt.
Strange statement. Hazard was actually much needed in every big game so far this season. Kind of obvious.
I think he is a very very good player. He did not have the best of games today, but his team were all poor which limits what he could do. Herrera deserved man of the match due to man marking him and still getting a great assist and a goal.
