Champions League QFs (11th - 19th April)

No, I was saying perhaps he wouldn't be an unfinished youngster struggling yet to adapt if he had joined United instead.
Because José has a reputation to develop unfinished youngsters, particularly when he's under heavy pressure to get a struggling elite club at least a top 4 spot in the - regarding the title - most competitive league in Europe? Sorry, I don't buy that.

Don't care that much about his reputation, it was a Portuguese player he wanted for a position United were struggling, and who he shares the language, which I suspect might be a problem in Germany.

Sanches started 4 Buli matches at the start of this, his first Bayern, season, one Cup game and one CL group match. He failed to make an impression in any of these. Just like Martial?
Martial was already here, perhaps the comparison you're looking for is Bailly.
Promising youngster not getting significant playtime under Jose, let alone improve, is what I was playing at.

I don't buy that either, neither that José had given him more chances than Ancelotti has nor that Sanches difficulties stem mainly from the language. It's not as if it's 'German language only' at Bayern.

I find it funny that when a player fails he suddenly becomes a not yet adapted youngster, just ‘promising’… Renato Sanches won the Portuguese championship for Benfica practically by himself, and was determinant for Portugal's Euro conquest also.

WTF? Have Leicester just won the World Cup or something?

I'm going Bayern and Leicester.

Bayern will punish Real for not doing more after the red card in the first leg.

Leicester because they've got that stubborn underdog belief going on and they are at home.

Cameraman basically skipped through the entire Madrid team to get to Ronaldo by the end of the anthem.

Three people in the pub I'm in. One TV has Leicester on and no one is paying attention to it.

I've asked for the other to show the Madrid Munich match. Perfect.

I m almost certain that Bayern will go through unless Ronaldo decides to have one of those games.

Hoping Leicester can somehow pull it off.

Not too fussed on the other but expect Real to do it.

Why are they booing?

Just realised Marcelo has been at Real for 10 years (only 28 years old, too). What a career at one club, has continued Carlos' legacy pretty damn well.

Wht was Vidal thinking

Edit: maybe he knew Ronaldo not Kroos was taking

What happened to Ronaldo free-kick prowess? He's unbelievably shite in fk these days. Messi would have scored that.

Vidal won't see the end of this match with a booking this early - anytime he goes near a Real player now they'll be on the deck looking at the ref with the crowd demanding action.
