PL fixtures & FA Cup Semifinals Apr 22-27

All this bottle nonsense is just that. Spurs lost to two quality strikes any side would succumb to, otherwise they were the better side.

Is Walker that same Walker working under Warnock a few years ago and getting the stick week in week out??

Yeah but they still lost. Chelsea will go buzzing from that considering everything thats been said in the lead up

Giving away a stupid free-kick, giving away a ridiculous penalty and giving Hazard stupid amounts of space on the edge of the box.

Having players in the squad and 11 who have been part of multiple title winning squads helps. A lot of good teams struggle to take that first step towards becoming a perennial winning team.
This idea that winning a trophy will lead to a completely mentality shift and lead to further success seems a bit of a myth.

Spurs won the League cup in 2008 and it did them no good. Portsmouth, Wigan and Arsenal have all recently won the FA cup and it's served no purpose in making them any stronger or more successful team.

Watching Hazard get a lot of space near the box really makes you appreciate the effort that Herrera did last week

What a great advert for the FA Cup, end-to-end game with two teams just going for it. Hope Arsenal and City lives up to today's game as well. Hope to see an all London final but City will most likely beat Arsenal.

Spurs have not bottled anything today. They've come from behind twice and then lost to a pretty decent side.

Definitely. They'll kick themselves for their failure to mark Hazard at the corner, but the Matic goal was phenomenal and completely unstoppable.

To come here and outplay the league leaders for large periods of the game after the death of one of their coaches during the week is the opposite of bottling it, imo. Even if they did lose.
Well United outplayed Chelsea and won so I guess there's your difference, we're winners, you aren't :).

I never said that. I said they should bring in players who have won multiple trophies in any league to the team.

Just seen the score. Congrats to the Chelsea boys and girls on here. Take care of our trophy until we come back for it next season:D

It's if they can keep this squad together long enough for it to happen. Too long and they will start leaving for the usual 'I want to win things' reason.

Fair enough. Arsenal have players that have won leagues, world cups and champions leagues. Done them no good.

Leicester won the league without.

I support United. We've also outplayed numerous other teams this season and didn't win the matches, we must be even bigger losers than Spurs going by the logic on here.

Oh wow, I just found out that Conte has never won a knockout tournament before as manager. His first time could be after knocking out United, Spurs then Arsenal/City. Not bad.

Leicester's league win is and will remain an outlier. Using them as an example means any side in any league has a chance to win the title, which is simply not true.

It is not a given you will start winning things by doing any particular one or two things. I just think it can help a good team with young players. Having Scholes and Giggs in our 2006/7 team helped us a lot. In a similar situation a team like Spurs would have bottled against Chelsea's onslaught against us that during the tail end of that season.

Just me or was Danny Murphy far more energetic when Spurs scored to Chelsea? I get he is ex spurs, but fecking hell he was so obvious

I'm actually a bit worried about winning the double. Last time an Italian helped us achieve that, well, we all know what happened. :nervous:

It does seem to be set out for the double for Conte. Just get the feeling itll all line up for them

I can understand that, he's a Spurs man....at least he's honest. So many pundits fake derision to their own teams to create a feeling of impartiality, but it never works because everyone knows where your heart lies....
