Do I think United will blow them away? Probably not.

Do I think United will win the game? Yes I do

Ajax have been good today but for the majority of the first half they have been on the back foot. United will definitely have more possession and more quality than this Lyon team

Yeah it's a final, I get that but I think to myself if we can't beat a team in a final that has more drive and desire than us with the average age of 21 or something like that, then what will it say about us. I may have rose tinted specs on, or even be slightly naive but I simply refuse to believe our team will let it go to shit if we get to the final.
 
Well I certainly wasn't expecting that!! Looks like Ajax in the final then. Would love a similar United result tomorrow.

The time to stop Jose is in this round. If Jose gets to the final, he would win it. Jose does not lose finals - he would do everything legally permissible to win.

His victory against Celtic in 2003 UEFA cup final was nothing short of a bank robbery. Celtic were the better side but some of the gamesmanship deployed in that match would make Bernie Madoff look like the Pope John Paul II.

United isnt that much better, both teams will bring it I think. If United reach their level, they probablu should win yes.

Best match I've watched all season, could and should have been 6 or 7 for Ajax.

I said we'd beat either of those. "Would" indicates hypothetical situation. Us having to play Celta was irrelevant to the point I was making, so I didn't feel the need to put a disclaimer.

Sure United may win, if they get there.. but how this match gives anybody confidence of beating Ajax truly baffles me.

Great entertaining game, I'm so happy de Boer is gone and we have Bosz now. It's incredible. But we really should have killed thej game today. Anyway that really should do it.
BTW to those who think our defense is bad: 3 of the 4 defenders playing today are not starters for us. Usually we field Veltman-Sanchez-Viergever-Sinkgraven. Usually we are more solid at the back.
 
If Ziyech could finish, he would be world-class. Also, Dolberg is seriously good.

Youthful exuberance. They play without fear but they lack finesse that comes with experience. United could frustrate the he out of them. We're not easy to score against. Play like we did Chelsea a few weeks ago and we'll beat them in 90

Lyon are much better at home and this result is hardly surprising, since they've been poor defensively and away from home for months. Granted, I didn't expect them to be this shite.

Tete is infinitely better than Veltman, it is so weird that he is a starter.
