2017 Pre Season | Real Madrid vs Manchester United

Wow Real put out a very strong team.

Our team is also stronger than I thought. Should be a fun watch.

Martial, Lingard and Rashford should cause an 'unfit' defence problems with their movement and direct running.

It's a big test for Andreas who is partnered by two pretty immobile veterans.

Lingard must be a machine also, he had 77' in the last game.

I'm sure it has been said before, in previous pre season tours, but if Jesse carries his form into the season - he'll have an excellent year. Anyway, I'm not holding my breath.

I don't care, it's preseason and people are already moaning about the lineup. Expected sadly.
Of course I hope we won't get thumped.
If we lose you know some will lose their shite.

It would be a miracle if we don't get the piss slapped out of us here, but I am just glad Pereira is getting a start, even if he is lumbered alongside Carrick and Fellaini, shame Mitchell didn't get the LB start.

The line-ups are completely meaningless. The whole team changes throughout the game anyway. It's all about giving people minutes.
Yeah, that's it, Mourinho doesn't care about details like lineups and stuff like that, sure.

Can't expect the same line up every game in pre-season. Who cares anyway, I'd sooner have a match ready squad, rather than a match ready first team.

We look decidedly second string here. I like it, these guys all have something to prove and what better opposition than Real to have a go against?

Me too. I hope he went to the ATM machine beforehand. If, you know, he has to give some money to someone.
:lol: I think he does that at the beggining of the month, not at the end. But, what do we know, maybe we are all wrong, and they are peaches of the people.

And hopefully/probably starting as #8, which might be the most balanced position for him.

Real looking like they want to finish this in the first half! Don't think we'll win, but looking forward to watching it. 'Mon lads!

Going for a brave one here, but I think our fitness will contain this one and fancy Rashford to notch. He has looked super sharp in preseason so far. Clinical too.

Not for friendlies, no. You must have seen that he has been changing the whole team at half time in these friendlies? So it doesn't matter who starts does it?

What are you even on about? Jose obviously hasn't omitted kids for the sake of beating Real in a fecking friendliy...

I kind of like our line up. The pace of Rashford, Martial and Lingard should have them a ton of problems especially with Marcelo, kroos etc being more attack minded.

It's going to be a tough match definitely, with Jose's going to be using a lot of the kids to face currently the reigning champions. Will be a good test for them, but I'm definitely not expecting much. Performance is important.

we still have 4 games til the season starts, no worries. Last summer we had 4 pre season games as a whole or something similar.

He said Tuanzebe and Mitchell would play (I, and most people, read as start).

This is friendly, start or not players will play 45 mins each.

For C… sake, the guy says in interviews the number of minutes each player will have, the combinations of centerbacks, etc., and you think he rolls the dice for lineups?:wenger:
