I know Conte likes to play a specific system and perhaps identifies players who can play in that system (also Kante/Drinkwater partnership of 15/16), but if we were linked with Drinkwater I'd be pretty uninspired. He just isn't very good.

The English language isn't known for being the most comprehensible one, what with hundreds and hundreds of variations spoken all over.
The Shed End forum are warming to the idea although that is surprising.
I believe it comes from infants who couldn't say thank you properly yet given their age and it seeped into general English. It's quite an old substitute for thank you.
