Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Yeah I think FSG needed him to put the request in so they can sell him and save face given they have had a weak window so far.

I'm very curious to see how this effects Klopp though..

I think he is arrogant and deluded enough to be ok with it. Having come out so many times and strongly claiming that he definitely won't be sold and is not for sale would be enough to embarrass most managers and force them to resign out of principle. But I guess you have to have principles in the first

Sigh! I don't know how else to explain it to you. It does not take a lot of intelligence to understand it if you read my previous post. I will try another way, how much did we pay for Pogba again!

I was talking only about the Ronaldo transfer because you said we inflated the market at that time too, we didn't force them to pay that amount. Ronaldo wanted to go to Real and they wanted him and were willing to pay whatever we asked. You are calling me dumb for no reason. Answer me this, why are people blaming PSG and not blaming Barcelona for inflating the market because of Neymar's release clause?

I will try one last time. Say you have a craving for something, but you want the best. You go to the place where you want to buy it from, but find out that the price has been raised by a lot. At this stage you either walk away, or you want it bad enough that you cannot walk away because you will not find it anywhere else. So you end up paying and taking home that expensive thing you just bought. Now this is when the problem starts, the store owners next to the shop you went to saw' or heard the price that you paid for that item and want into that action. They don't have the exact same quality of the item that you purchased, but they think that they can increase the price of their product and see if anyone bites.

Next time someone who has a similar craving as you goes to the stores to purchase that product, he cannot find the same thing, but something similar is being sold in the store next to it, but when he pops into that store, he finds that the store owner is asking for a lot more than what he was selling for a month ago. He is in the same dilemma as you, either walk away, or end up paying the asking price. Now, he has the same craving as you, and has the money to pay for it, so he ends up paying the asking price and taking it home.

So.......who is responsible for that price increase? The buyer because he paid what was being asked? The seller because he increased his price because he think that's what it is worth? Or both because they helped increase the price of that product for everyone else?

I wouldn't even dare to put in a bid for PSG's first choice RB, they would turn the table on us and bid £250m for Pogba with 900k\week wages.

Alves is their first choice.

Alves is their first choice.

I believe Alves gonna be their first choice RB.

Forgot about that transfer. Meunier was their first choice ahead of Aurier pre Alves though, and since Alves has a limited shelf life I imagine they want to keep Meunier.

Only realistic chance of getting a PSG player is to give them a sly tap-up with instructions to run their contract down.

I think the "Se Queda" tweet is going go down in history as a cock up.
What a fool Pique must look, when a few days later, he (Neymar) was sold.

That's true. Unlike Real I am not sure who they could sell in the future to generate money. Real have a number of players who could be sold if they fancied a new toy. Barca don't have another Neymar to flog, Real could make good money out of a Bale.

True.
I mean who are Barca? A team of duds, that's who.
None of their players are worth more than a few hundred thousand euros.
If any of their players were sold to an English club, they'd make it to the Championship at best, but more likely the Sunday Pub league.
It's the Barca fans are pity. For the next year at least, they'll have to put up with the likes of Messi and Suarez.

They aren't going to sell Messi he is the face of the club, they are ageing, so that reduces prices. They are not producing kids like they did. The only player of real value has now been sold in Neymar who had years ahead of him. More fool them for not believing someone might just come up with the money. Yes they will get money for players, but not Neymar money. If some of their players have high buyouts then the like of Andre Gomes will be stuck there. They will need to sell four or five players to get one in the current market.

The best way to buy a PSG player is to enquire to them directly first, wait for there answer and then go from there. Try unsettle (tap up) any of there players and they hear about it. Then thats when they maybe get angry.

See these kind of statements every single window and they don't really mean anything.

This one is true. He said it when he was a player for club Brugge that it is his dreaming to play for United as he is a big fan.

As club Brugge fan I actually recommended him on here a season ago as he was looking for a transfer. He cost PSG €7 million. But United never seem interested in these type of signings, I wonder if we even have any real scouting in the Belgium competition and if we have how this player was overlooked.

He would fit us like a glove and he genuinely dreams of playing for us but if you are not in the market he ends up elsewhere ofcourse.

So Chelsea have 3 CMs with 1 of them injured right now.

I think I would gladly accept £250m for Pogba altough with the way transfer prices evolve I'am not too sure.

I did not say it was not true, what I said is every summer we got several articles about players saying this and it really means nothing. In fact I am pretty sure the majority of players who are quoted saying things like this are never targets or end up signing elsewhere.
