Premier League weekend fixtures 11/12/13 August

Christ McManaman is at it already. "This wonderful City side."

What exactly has this City side done to be so wonderful?

Scouse twat.
Yeah the media's fawning over a completely plastic club, bankrolled by a rather unpleasant regime, is nauseating isn't it.

Remember Ian Wright gloating a few years ago when City beat United, suggesting it was good for football. Was an absolutely moronic comment. If everyone copied City's 'model' football would lose all meaning.

Clearly we're a class above but that'll mean nothing if our finishing remains as bad as it's been in the first 15 minutes.

With City not spending on a central defender this season, a back 3 is the only way for them to compensate for their weaknesses. Brighton need to stretch the pitch and drag Stones and Otamendi out to the flanks.

That combo you mention was about £85m worth, so it's amazing to count them as a weakness!
I think the centre mid and centre backs are a bit weak, hopefully it costs them!

We seem to be the other way round, more solid in the centre, but struggle to attack with massive threat. Please let that change this season, I can't be driving home 7 times after a draw again! (from my 10 games!)

Just tuned in, but it's very interesting to see City also playing 3 at the back. I wonder if we're going to see a bunch of clubs try it this year to try and emulate Chelsea and Tottenham's success with the formation.

Brighton have zero composure on the ball. The space behind City's defence is so big but they aren't the team to put them under pressure.

Brighton are playing like schoolkids whenever they get the ball. There's barely any composure in their players, and they are rushing their attacks rather than keeping the ball.

I just noticed that Michael Oliver is refereeing this match. That just makes it more likely for City to win this.

What's with this pink/purple-ish kit for City.. looks almost red from a distance, disturbing

They have B Silva, Sane and Sterling on the bench. Jesus! Guess he's starting.

Brighton players giving away the ball so cheaply:rolleyes:

Silva had problem with hair lice so he went for prisoner camp solution or?

Isaiah Brown's hamstring's gone. There goes Brighton's slim chance of winning this game.

How's the game looking? Need to decide whether to watch City or last week's Game of Thrones.

City are dominating the game so far, but Brighton are slowly (very slowly) gaining some more confidence. City are struggling to create chances, but there is an air of inevitability about this game and the end result.
