Supercopa de Espana | Real Madrid / Barcelona

Not good if Ronaldo gets a big suspension, worse for Portugal than Madrid tbh.

How to beat this Madrid side is beyond me.

It is really tricky. If you fall back and defend deep they will play the ball around quick and punish you by good crosses and movement in the box. If you press them high you can get rewards, but often they can punish you by quick counters. They have so many ways to attack.

I definitely saw Real and possibly Barca players with their hands all over the ref all game. I was surprised how lenient he was given Di Mariagate for us a few years ago.

i hope common sense prevails and Ronaldo doesn't get too big of a suspension for that.

I liked how both times the ref helped Barca, Real simply hammered in a wonder goal.

Well, sometimes you can't help someone that doesn't want to he helped. This team right now looks beyond saving unless Messi does everything

I have said this after our match with them. The many different managers that managed them have added different play styles to their system and made them now capable of handling almost any situation.

Another reason for him to want to leave and come to his spiritual home.
Nah forget that, he and Mourinho never had the same relation after 2013, even if on the other day he spoke to Mou and Faria.

Christ, it was just a little nudge
If they judge by portuguese standards is ok, nothing special, reading the comments here, it looks he killed someone.

Suarez is embarassment. What a piece of shit. It's one thing to dive for a penalty, but to pretend that hurts like he broke his leg is embarassing, he is a grown up ffs.

And Pique was involved in all 3 goals, is there one player in the world that can't dribble past him?

That's just put me right off the guy tbh.

Still find it funny how Delafaeo was starting today. He wouldn't even make the Palace team

Loaned to Girona next year. The new Sanches
Really don't like him, even think Ricardo Pereira is better than him, but hey, I do think Xadas or Neves are better than Sanches also, maybe I am wrong. :D

Real Madrid don't need Bale at all.

Isco is better than him and so is Asensio arguably(if he isn't now, he will be soon).

They've got an amazing squad.

I don't get the Xadas hype but i haven't watched him enough. I will do so in the next games

I can see them wanting to make an example of him.
Wasn't that bad but he opened himself up to any trouble. Shouldn't have done it at all even though the ref was wrong.

Bale has suffered a lot of muscular injuries last years.

I am very impressed by the football Madrid plays. Quick and very entertaining for a neutral like me. Well done Madrid!

Seems like Madrid are set to play the same way with Modric or without him. Wasn't missed at all.

The way Madrid manage to score 75% of their chances is incredible. It's the no1 reason why they won 2 back to back CLs. 5 chances, 3 goals.

It's not about the amount of shoving he does, this is the same FA that put a 3 game sanction on Neymar for clapping at the ref.

Spain is in an awful spot disciplinary wise, 0 consistency in criteria, refs are the biggest bottlers you can find and the guys who rule over post-game sanctions are reliables as an Alfa Romeo 33

Tbh I don't know if there is much hype around him, I just see there a potential good player under a not very good coach.

United conceded less goals and played far better defense against this Madrid side. Why Valverde thinks it's a smart idea to hold a high line against Real Madrid is beyond me. Fecking stupid coaching.

Was it just me or didn't it seem that it was wierldy a lot of madridistas at Camp Nou tonight? Every time they scored it sounded as if half of the stadium was celebrating...It just seemed so odd.

Agree with you, they will not loose the chance to use this as example.

You looked exactly like last season. It's way too early to judge Valverde but you'd think he would have made a bit more of an impact so far.

Real Madrid feels like the much better team now really. Barca's time as the best team in the world is truly over.

Time moves so fast in football. Bale used to be talked on here as the hottest prospect behind Messi and Ronaldo... now he's already seen as redundent in the Madrid squad and possibly less good than an up and coming kid scores a few belters

current Barca is so average that if Ronaldo was to miss the next 6 months of football, I'm confident Madrid would still win la liga. even Messi can't save them now.

Yes the arm waving in the air thing like 'no seriously this time, send the doctors on I need help' is the worst thing he does in my opinion, worse even than the biting.
