Premier League fixtures 14/15/16th October

It is great that Palace and Watford doing well. One point for us against Liverpool while rivals drop points should be good in the long run. Yet the way City are playing at the moment I can't help feel we are going to really struggle to follow them. It could be that they run away with it and win it easily. I hope we can follow them and challenge, but City look like Peps team when they are at their best. I thought they might get there already last season, but now it look like they reached the high level at a regular basis compared to last. Last season they struggled during the winter. Hopefully they can this season a bit more as well. They have so many options now though so I doubt they will burn out. Bernardo Silva on that bench have not played much and I can see him doing more soon as well.

Does that settle the Cleverley vs Wilshere debate once and for all?

Someone ask Paul Merson if Silva is good enough now he's turned over his beloved.

So it seems Cleverley wins the epic battle of Clevz v Welbz: This Time It’s Personal.

Me and the better half are so watching AFT in bed tonight. He doesn't know what is is but who cares.

An incredible squad that got thrashed by Madrid, finished 3rd in a weak La Liga, and ended the season with Rijkaard getting sacked, and Ronaldinho AWOL.

There's news articles from the time describing how far they had fallen. Any attempt to paint them as a great squad in need of a few paint touches is sheer revisionism.

At the start of that season everyone I talked football with rated our squad and Barca's as the best about. It went sour with Rikjaard and Dinho in particular but they simply had an incredible squad. I knew it at the time so I'm not sure why you didn't.

People are now starting to say that City had a great squad when he took over too. You know, the squad that had a lower-midtable level goalie, no top class fit central defenders, four ageing average full backs, Fernandinho and a Touré that everyone had been calling past it for the last two years of Pellegrino as the only top class midfielders and Wifried Bony as the only back up to an injury prone Agüero.

Plus Sterling, who most of England had come to the conclusion was a brainless, overrated waste of money.

City were many people's favourites for the title the year before Pep arrived as Champions and the year Pep arrived. They had a great squad. It is only Pep obsessives that seem to think you need world class players in every position to do well. I presume because that's what Pep needs to do well. Fergie could get any old mob together and challenge for the title. Every season City fans where I live used to claim we had a crap squad but nearly every year we challenged for the title.

Collin Farrel is doing really well with Watford.

They're playing very good football, not afraid to play, sometimes it backfires, like against city, but most of the time it works well for them. I'm very impressed. I think he is the next managerial star.

Oh, no problem. Just give the league away and focus on the Europa League.

With the player prices and wages these days and your two best players most likely leaving (on a free) I reckon you are far up shit creek.

I don't think you will manage to sign players of that quality again for quite a period of time, can very well be the start of a long and lean period for Arsenal this.

Hahaha, I can't wait to watch Arsenal FanTv soon.

Something to look forward to seen as Match of the day is a no-no for me later.

Seems we have the pecking order established: City, United and Spurs will definitely finish top 4, while Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool will try to chase down Watford.

I know, but what can i do?

There are increasing questions about the huge bank balances Arsenal have kept the last few years. Its looking really dodgy at this point.
More and more supporters are questioning if perhaps Kroenke is keeping hundred million+ in the bank because in the last two years he has taken out around 1.5 billion USD in loans to finance his massive ranch purchase and the massive stadium and property development for his relocated NFL club.

If Kroenke is indeed keeping that money in the bank to lower his interest rates on his financing then Kroenke would be ven worse than your famous Hicks and Gillette.

Geez, I didn't know it was to that extent. All sounds plausible though, just hope for Arsenals sake he isn't as bad as those two bellends as no fans should go through that garbage. Not even ones like Bludfam

League title gone by the 8th round - even by Wengers standards, that is spectacular!

People want Ozil here , the moment football fan hears free transfer all bets are off
