A win, an ugly win but a win nonetheless. The rest doesn't matter, this team isn't good enough for the title but I don't care about this at the moment, this win guarantees me a good mood for the rest of the day :D

First half...that wasnt football, awful from us. Second half a bit better, subs were so bad, needing a win and still holding to 3 at back while replacing Rashford with Martial, Lingard instead of Mkhi, who should be subbed at HT.

All in all, positive is a win but if he sees that we suffer due having 2 in midfield, he cant say that we cant play with 3, despite injuries if 3 is better solution then put McT on.

When we defend like that and take our chance, it only serves to heighten my frustration that we dropped points against Stoke and Huddersfield.

We’ve conceded four goals this season and all have been brain farts.

Otherwise, we’re defensively brilliant.

I genuinely don't think I've ever heard Martial speak before this

Wasnt great.. But Spurs didnt look great either. We were better. Deserved the points.

One thing about Jose, his subs have almost always had a positive effect on the games and results. Thats one of his genius.

Its like night and day compared to LVG.

Poor first half from us in which Spurs controlled the game. The second half was an entirely different game, we look threatening everytime we went forward and never looked liked conceding aside from the Alli chance. The goal was deserved in the end and so was the victory.

This win was huge for our confidence after a difficult couple of weeks and could quite possibly be the catalyst for a good run of results. Pogba, Fellaini and Ibra all set for a return shortly will see to that.

Masterclass from Mourinho. The hoofball tactics people were complaining about led to the goal.

Honestly, this obsession with Guardiola is pathetic.
It's not an obsession mate. I just find it frustrating that our attacking play has all the subtlety and coherence of an Adam Sandler movie.

We aspire to be one of the world's biggest clubs yet we rely on a Wimbledon-esque punt downfield to score a goal. The fact that City are playing amazing football just across town is an obvious counterpoint.

But if you want to think United's critics are just Guardiola fanboys, then fine.

Amazing what you can do with a bit of attacking intent. Spurs were very comfortable on the ball, but apart from the Delle chance they didn't do much with it. Periods of good play and periods of wtf. Difference between the two sides is their movement off the ball, some of our triangles are very static.

Mikhi should have been subbed for Mata. Lingard didn’t offer much as usual. Strangely enough I would have preferred Martial for Lukaku instead of Rashford, but it paid off
I really do want to see Martial and Rashers together but that Lukaku header is why Jose will always keep him on.

Lukaku really has to improve generally and I'm sure he will.

Agreed about Mikhi; just doesn't seem at the races past few weeks. Slow in thought, speed and movement. Poor lad, I think it must be something else.

Lingard was a good move IMO; Mata would have been fine too
Martial. Deadly in front of goal. He should coach the other lads!

Chelsea I'd take a draw IF they win today but we'll see how draining Roma away is for them.

As a fan of defending take a bow Young and that back 3; even with Jones nervy moments.
Smalling Bailly Jones and Rojo to come in with Tuanzebe - Back 3 gives us an option.

They are a very decent side. The best we've played this season.

Second half united were the better side and deserved the three points. It's a very good win.
Let's not kid ourselves. Spurs had no Kane. No Dembele. No Wanyama. And we played the entire match with three central defenders and two defensive midfielders in Herrera and Matic who are not creative - in that they won't rack you up assists - and they don't score.
I feel we got away with it today and have lost swagger. The horses are very much on the reins.

Poor performance. Three points. Mourinho justified.

Poor performance????

I saw heart, grit, determination to battle for the badge. Minus the bad midfield display in the first half, the team played well. No bus parking. They attacked. We could have scored three in the second half.

Huge win. Huddersfield loss hurting even more. Hopefully pogba is back after the international break. We would improve immensely once he and ibra are back.

Shreaves desperate for Martial to say "Yeah feck you Mourinho"

This formation could work with Pogba and a better attacking mid than Mkhi.

It really pissed me off how big a deal is being made of that. Tyler's just mentioned it yet again as they're walking off.

There wasn't a single mention of the injuries we're dealing with.

Tyler didn't shut up all fecking match. Our midfield is ravaged with injuries and Baily has only just came back.

But yeah. Feck us.

Martial's English is good! Anyone watching the interviews?

Great result, we were better for periods of the second half but certainly not firing on all cylinders.
Funny thing is i'm more optimistic about getting 3 points at the Bridge than I was about us beating Spurs.

Yes, we weren't very good.

Very good win
Lukaku did all he could but he need service from our mid & playmaker.
Great assist regardless

All 3 pundits look gutted

Another fairly comfortable win against The Best Team In The League™. You'd think Spurs were perennial champions they were Sky went on about them today. More reason to be quite content after the three points today.

Not exactly lucky, but not exactly deserved either. An even game between two teams who didn't play well and either side could have nicked it. In the end our better squad depth up front was probably the difference.
It was thoroughly deserved because we put the ball in the net more times than they did

Matic man of the match. Ashley Young every day of the week for me. Didn't stop the entire game. United remain lacking in a creative midfielder.

Positives:

DDG - His distribution was absolutely exceptional, including in the build up to the goal.
Defence - Very sound, apart from that one Dickhead Alli chance.
Young - Wound Spurs up all game, did well offensively and at the back
Matic - Did well despite being outnumbered
Playing 3 at the back - looks natural for our defenders and having this solidity in a big game is a huge positive and gives us an extra option

Negatives:

Herrera - Gave the ball away far too much. Unnecessary theatrics and has regressed a lot since last year.
Mickey - See above.
Lingard - He reminds me of the common housefly, buzzes around being annoying but easily swatted away.
