World Cup Qualifiers + Friendlies | November 2017

Clearly not

If you roll around like that you aint going to be running a few mins later, is my point.

Every match I ever watch these days has players rolling around then running a minute later.

Most of them are fannys

Yeah let's have more UEFA places in the WC so we can get more shower of shite games like that.

Not to be overly defensive but have you watched teams like australia, honduras and iran recently? They are worse than Ireland at being shit and defensive.

If we really want to combat shit teams then remove half of the spots in general, and keep the ratios as they are

Maybe the lower sides should just open up and play the type of football that exposes the limitations of each player?
Wow, wouldn't that be a spectacle..
This is the reality of limited players who train a handful of weeks per year together

How in the blue hell is a guy, who plays for the 12th best team in the Championship starting over Christensen and Vestergaard? LOL.

I think the main line from our coach is experience (in general and with Kjær) for these very crucial games.

Id prefer Christensen to play, even over Kvist, but doubt he'd try that

I feel in general many national teams are not great at the moment. Could be time for some world cup upsets. Although in the end I guess it will be Germany vs Brazil in the final ;).

We showed some scrap but yeah, disappointing game. A stronger ref would have been nice, maybe made it more of a proper match.

Otherwise it's nice to see Ødegaard's touches generally being good, looking way more likely to control the ball and find his next pass than anybody else. Would've liked to see him be more daring, though. Definitely not a weak link in our team.

Reminded me of the game against Estonia I think when he was 16, the only reason I watched the game. That was a horror show too

Historically, when the WC is played in Europe it is South Americans who struggle the most.

Think the play offs should be one big pool, It's a shame that a team like Chile wont be going while some trash will.

Spain look primed and ready to dominate the tournament.

Spain looked outrageous vs Costa Rica, reckon they wouldn't have been looking forward to a tournament as much as they are this coming one in some time. How's the opposition supposed to touch the ball when they have Isco, Silva, Iniesta, Busquets and Thiago on the pitch at the same time?

They're going to win it, I reckon. They seem back to somewhere near their best to me, and I dont see anyone else touching them.

England have called up Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke and Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook for Tuesday's friendly against Brazil at Wembley.

Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn, on loan at Norwich, was brought into the squad on Friday to replace Stoke's Jack Butland, who has broken a finger.

Uhhh okay then...

Just seen the tweet Corry Evans' wife made the day after their loss (about the ref and the shocking pen decision). Bet he's pleased with her!

This is crazy stuff. There is no taking something like that back. If she had wrote it on the night, she might have got away with heat of the moment and alcohol induced but she posted it the following morning.

I just think they will get punished by counter attacks and more physical teams again. Although the longer the tournament goes the more tired legs and less pressing will help them.

Granit Xhaka think's the Northern Irish should get over the terrible penalty call...

“I don’t know why it is such a big topic or why there is such a big discussion around it,” said Xhaka. “I think we should leave it. It was the decision of the referee and not of interest to us. We were the better team and we want to show that again tomorrow and qualify for Russia."
