World Cup Qualifiers + Friendlies | November 2017

Skysport's pre-game showing our build-up from the previous leg, with Belotti and Immobile playing within 5 meters of each other and not moving and Verratti starting on the same line as them

We should ask the UN to ban that shite under the Geneva convention FFS

He's a vertical manager who is too tightly bound to his ideas, except we don't have the players for it
Maybe I am wrong and everything will turn ok, but not maximising the full potential of your best players at NT level looks way dogmatic for my taste.

We are bottlers, I guess. Sorry, I haven't really paid attention to Norwegian football for years. My football interest generally only concerns Man Utd these days. Very decent footballers you say, who are you thinking of?

Just mentioning some from my head:

Jonas Svensson a quite solid right back that can also play well in the middle of the midf.
Sander Berge: a thrilling midfielder, who imho can improve to become an excelent player
Elyounoussi: one of the main figures of Basel, he has a very good drible + goal threat on him.
Skjelbred: a very solid career at Bundesliga
Midtsjo is a very interesting box-2-box midfielder
Thorsby is one of the best young prospects at Eredivisie
Linnes plays at Galatasaray and he is a good crosser himself
Odegaard plays at Eredivisie with just 18 yo
Gulbrandsen is a fundamental player at RB Salzburg
Zahid is quite a good attacking midfielder, but by some reason he prefered to move to Cyprus (probably getting an heavy paycheck)

It's insanity. Plain and simple

As much shit as the european qualifiers get for being too easy, these are the european teams to have made all Euros and World Cups so far this century: Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

Italy are a game away from getting knocked out, France were very close to getting knocked out in 2010 and 2014 and Portugal have been close a bunch of times. Only Spain and Germany have managed to qualify easily every time and even then they both still had to face a playoff at some point.

On behalf of letcherous TV cameramen and directors at the upcoming world cup, I am hoping for a Sweden victory. Can't not have the Swedish fans there.

Going to be an interesting game tonight, easily the most entertaining of the replays. I just hope for a strong ref who won't buy into the intalian shenanigans. Imagine they are going to be trying to get a favorable red from the first minute

Come on my Scandinavian brothers!

Last time Italy failed a major competition was Euro 1992, not to mention last WC was something like 1958 I guess. Regarding us we always bottle 1 game in qualifiers at least, only thing I like in Santos is that after the Switzerland defeat the team didn't fall apart, credit to him.

Look at this man! He inspires you so much! @giorno

Cannot understand managers when they don't field the best players for the sake of a tactical system.

I can understand that if the system works. It is a very defensive system and team and when you are 1 goal down you need to go for it more I think. Hopefully the system don't work today.

You know a lot more than me about the Norwegian NT. ;) Thanks.

I beg we win tonight, but if we dont we have to sack the idiot in charge who would make Moyes look competent ffs.

Of course San Siro whistles their anthem. Churchill truly had us down to a T

FFS

Sad that Verratti does not play. Odd that Belotti is on the bench. For history sake I root for Italia.

Italians booing our national anthem. Stay classy, San Diego.

Was about to ask if the Italians were booing the Swedish anthem as it was pretty loud. Guess I have my answer.

Good environment, let the game begin.

Come on, have you seen our National team? What do you mean by very decent? Skjelbred is the very definition of a totally lacklustre player, he can only run around. Sander Berge might end up as a midfielder for let’s say Stoke, the only exciting player is Ødegaard and who knows how he will turn out? If he reaches 75% of Eriksen’s level I’d take it immediately.
