Mate. All clubs do it on their rivals. Nothing different to what Lingard orchestrated last season.Small club mentality, classless and embarrassing!
I can see why there was a fight last week. Can't stand these cnuts.
Look, I don’t own the club and I don’t run it either. Nor do I choose who does. How difficult is that to understand Einstein?
Let’s look at something more relevant instead. How many football matches have you attended in your lifetime? How much time and money have you put into following your club? Come on - let’s see your credentials Mr Keyboard Warrior
If anyone ever says again that this English Premier League is the best in the world, then it will make me sick. The English media will wank and wank and wank about this City team for the coming weeks/months but even watching them today I can see the first proper team in Europe knocking them straight back to reality.
I must admit, Spurs had the right gameplan and idea of how to beat City and got joy at times with creating opportunities but their delivery and their time in possession was a shambles. This is the same Spurs team who people actually believe will beat Juventus over two legs in the Champions League on a different article on here? Please....
City are winning a pretty much diabolical Premier League, devoid of any tactical nous with idiot Chairman's getting the same manager over and over again (Example - Big Sam, Pardew etc)
The likes of Eibar, Atalanta, Bayern Moenchengladbach etc would give this City team more problems then the likes of Stoke or West Brom but since it's the "Best League in the world" according to Sky, it's nearly illegal to say it with the amount of money being pumped into the league.
Its a tribal thing mate. There's nothing more hypocritical than a football fan. We're a strange breed. One set of fans accuse of the others doing 'small times' stuff that they do at other times as well.
Football fans...
I get that it is a tribal thing and it is pretty stupid at times. Maybe I am too old for that shit now.Its a tribal thing mate. There's nothing more hypocritical than a football fan. We're a strange breed.
Now you must realise right how irritating it must also sound to an united fan when city fans keep on saying FA supports united and sir Alex bribed refs bla bla. Ironic right
Guardian said:While all the adventures seem to be happening on the other side of town right now, perhaps a little context is needed and it is worth pointing out that Manchester United have actually accumulated more points at this stage of the season than in six of the 13 championship-winning years when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge and the Premier League title used to find its way back to Old Trafford like a homing pigeon.
José Mourinho’s team are six points better off, at the 17-game mark, than the treble-winning side of 1998-99 that will always be held up as Ferguson’s greatest work. The current side have outscored Arsenal’s Invincibles from the corresponding stage of the 2003-04 season and achieved the unique feat of being widely derided for anaemic football while, in reality, scoring more goals than the 1995-96 Newcastle side that was managed by Kevin Keegan and had the nickname of “the Entertainers”.
Mourinho’s players have 38 points from 17 games and, to put that into perspective, it is more than Ferguson’s teams had managed at the same stage in 16 out of 27 trophy-laden years. It is also more than Arsène Wenger’s sides managed in two of his three championship seasons and, in any other year, it would do just fine for a team that likes to think it has authentic title ambitions. Liverpool have won the league 18 times but there were only two of those occasions, in 1978-79 and 1987-88, when they had a better record at this stage of a season.
Yeah, having a better commercial department and having been at the right position when the money reached the league which allowed us for more than a decade to win the league by virtue of being able to comfortably outspend anyone gives us the morale ground. While Chelsea and City doing the only possible thing which allows breaking the status quo makes their wins pointless. Keep saying that to yourself until you believe it.
Fact is, since Fergie left (when we won the league comfortably) we have spent on average only 18m pounds per year less than City, but their squad is significantly better than ours, and not only wins with ease, but their players don't shit their pants anytime they have to play a semi-decent team, and don't need to use 19th century tactics. And this is because how the money was spent on both clubs, the difference between Pep and Mourinho, not because the amount of money spent. Because we have spent near as much as them, while people here cry, giving you the impression that City are in a totally different level when it comes to money spent, which is simply untrue. In fact, if you add the wages, then there is barely any difference at all.
They can sing about our tactics once they win as much trophies as we have.
So small time, yes they’ve had a good run and broken a record and are top of the league but until they conquer like Barcelona have done in past seasons they really should keep their heads down and take each game as it comes. Its December and nothing should be taken for granted!
What did they do ?Stay classless City.
Not sure what difference any of that drivel has to do with someone's right to call out citeh's oil master's disgusting practice?
A hollow club is a hollow club? Surely?
And given that much of your tiny little stadium is often empty it seems odd to start tub-thumping about being 'superior fans', something you're clearly not, collectively at least.
As you mention the 'gobbiest' of online fans I'm sure you're aware of the pathetic reputation and behaviour online from the bitter's muppets...? You're a fanbase obsessed with United, to the point of parody.
Everything you do is measured by your mighty, larger, far more successful neighbours. Understandable, but pathetic nonetheless.
I'd imagine much of your proposed dick measuring about being the 'best fan' comes down to age - someone who's been following any given team for the longer amount of time will obviously have put more game time and monetary support into their team than someone younger.
As a born and bred Brit, I have a lot of respect for United's incredible international fanbase - people from all over the World getting up at all hours to support the team and give shitloads in merch money to support the club. But obviously they won't clock in anywhere near as many stadium visits as a Stockport based citeh fan - does that make them less of a fan? Not in my mind.
'Plastic Reds' you lot call them on Blue Moon though isn't it? Odd to use the term 'plastic' as a put-down to your rivals when your own club is financed solely by oil...
My god, it all makes sense now!Didn't Courtois totally cuckold him?
Maybe that's what his form is inspired by.
we can moan about oil money all we want but that's a disservice to this group of players playing together under this manager. they are performing incredibly well and frankly deserve the title more than any other team in the PL in recent memory.
More than Foxes title...? Really?
A bunch of oil bank rolled divas that fall down after every 50-50 they lose, vs one of the biggest and warmest underdog achievements in football history?
Madness.
Leicester was a more romantic win but they weren't better than this City squad. no chance.
But to say they 'deserve the title more than other team in recent memory' just seems odd compared to Foxes title.
They did it against all odds, had to dig very deep, showed grit, and played some great footy.
City have bought the PL with good spending and good planning. Fair enough, but it's hardly that great an achievement. They've spent more than anyone else in the league, including us, so they should be winning it.
United have a rich history, but we weren't always rich during that history.money is irrelevant to me. we're way richer than most teams. we don't use that as an excuse as to why we've been histortically great.
United have a rich history, but we weren't always rich during that history.
They press more effectively and keep the ball better. Like at Barcelona it's a deadly combination. How does a Guardiola team look more tenacious than a Mourinho team? I mean they always played the better football but this City side seams to even have more grit than our team by far.
Mou can complain about them falling over a lot but at least they fecking fight for every god damn ball on the pitch.
Thank you JoePerspective™:
Perspective is good but that article fails to use context. The league is different every year. Chelsea last season got far more points than our 99 team but noone would argue that it was a better team. So no chance this United team is close.Perspective™:

We've made progress but just random statistics without context actually give a distorted perspective.
I guess that's understandable. Winning a European trophy is nothing compared to the '15 games in a row' trophies they've started handing out this season, is it?
That makes no sense, there is no such thing as deserving it more when it comes to a league title. Each trophy has its history. Every team that end up winning it deserve it just as much as the previous winners. But to say they 'deserve the title more than other team in recent memory' just seems odd compared to Foxes title.

No one will because we aren't. Points totals aren't everything. We aren't a patch on the teams that finished second in the United Arsenal rivalry, teams who had won league titles and weren't average when up against any good teams. You can't knock this off though.
We could be the best 2nd team in the history of EPL. Many will remember this shit for all generations to come.
