Lol

...missed a couple easy 3-on-1’s and 2-on-1’s. Eh whatever, I’m not even mad. Genuinely laughed when they scored the last one

This team is so naive.

Nowhere good enough. Can't win a game they deserve to win.

Smalling is finished. Hoof merchant shit.
A player that cannot play a simple pass & he's first-choice for Manchester United.

I know our defence has been very good this season but if we didn't have de Gea in goal we'd look like Liverpool at the back.
Our attacking play is one of the worst of the top sides in the League - behind City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea AND Arsenal. Does Mourinho do attacking drills? Doubt it.

Mourinho too - Leicester with a man sent off and he brings on Herrera to try and shut up shop. That's terrible and shouldn't happen at Man United. He doesn't get United - he's all about results and winning ugly. It is not working at the moment, the flaws are being exposed and it's so obvious.

And, before anyone jumps in: our results have been good. That's the only thing. Our football? Lacklustre, boring, ugly and unattractive. Now, the results have worsened, we hardly look any good at all.
Four years and another managed has not gotten us to play some kind of attractive, attacking football CONSISTENTLY.

Sick and tired of Smalling in and out of being fit. Seriously, this team can't continue to have unfit players like him. Rashford is so fecking greedy and wasteful. Just upset. Really terrible game.
Smalling's been our most fit CB all season. Wow

I am so angry today and I rarely lose my cool.

Today I realised why we are where we are:

1. We do not have maturity in this team. We have talent, yes, but we don't have maturity to win the title unlike our previous teams. Proof: players like Rashford today made the wrong decision in front of goal. Instead of shooting early or passing it to Lukaku, he tried to dribble past Kasper. That is clearly the wrong decision making. Why has he done that? I don't think it's lack of coaching. It is down to maturity as a player and making the right decisions. All the top strikers in the top teams are good "decision makers" - Henry, Nistelrooy, Aguero, Suarez etc all make the right decisions in those moments. Age is not an issue, you either have it or you don't. They can all finish when not under pressure, but what they do when faced with a situation like Rashford had today is what differentiates them from the remaining 99%. Key to a team like us to succeed at the top end of the game. Very annoying indeed. I honestly think that once you get to this level, thinking about the game and analysing the game to improve yourself is much more important than physical training. Why on earth we didn't bring the ball to the corner flag God knows. The fact that City did it at Old Trafford means that they understand that nothing should be taken for granted. Maturity.

2. We lack focus i.e. ruthlessness. I hate to say this but when you look at City, they are just so tunneled-visioned. Basically they just aim to go out and destroy teams. Nothing else. The earlier the game is wrapped up the better. We have too many players who are "chilled". They are talented no doubt - Pogba, Lukaku etc. but when you look at the likes of Keane, Scholes, Ferdinand, Vidic, van Nistelrooy, Giggs, Neville, you can see they were men and were really focused. Lots of character and edge. We lack that I have to say. It's almost like the players need to have more anger and fire in their bellies.

What a rubbish day. Battered 10-men Leicester, yet still couldn't close the game. Going to be a shite Xmas.

This, every day of the week! It is also called being professional.

Being composed is one thing, being "chilled" is quite another. Don't think every player gets it what it means to be playing for Manchester fecking United. Not blaming Jose at all for today's "loss" (except he should have given firmer instructions on how to deal with Smalling's injury and should have told the players to get a fecking grip (you utter morons, how did you lose this game!?!)), but this attitude and "character" has to come from the manager. It also depends significantly on the players themselves, in which case, it is on the manager, again, to recruit better.

It's a long road ahead to get that "steel" back to the club post Fergie. Take out all the fecking hairdryers you got Jose - tear them a new one!

I’m glad to see so many frustrated with Rashford, I think he has been bad the majority of the season. He just runs like he is Ronaldo level of superstar, nonchalant, 10 step overs, fancy flicks etc. I always remember the senior players two years back saying he has the maturity and focus and won’t let this go to his head. 100 games later he just struts around like he thinks he is a world beater. Yes he is still young but he needs to buck up his ideas fast, just add him to the list of many frustrating players in a squad that is desperate for an injection of proven quality additions.

Imagine if that goal didn't enter, or we finished one more chance. It would have been a peaceful night and everything would have been fine.

FFS. I still can't get over it.

It was Joneswho told him to go to rightback, Jose is not that tactically aware.
Oh excuse me:D Poor Jose getting dragged. Didn't agree with one of his substitutions but can't blame him today as our players really should have put this to bed. He can't exactly put the ball in the back of the net can he?

One of our best away performances of the season as well. Unbelievable.

Still - we're not going to win the league anyway, are we?

This as well, just keep attacking. Players messed up, but if we just kept attacking after getting the second, and not forgetting how to passa ball, that would be good.

It's just his mentality, and it's sad he reverts to it in a game like today's, he always seems to think it's best to shut thing down than keep playing, & tbf it usually works and we see things out, so you accept it, but it looks horrible when it goes wrong.

Yes we missed chances. but he should have managed then end of the game better after we missed those chances. Especially after we had a player who couldn't walk playing at centreback.

Jose tried getting Herrera at RB and Lindelof in CB apparently, but Herrera refused.

Btw anyone got footage of this? I love Herrera, favourite player at the club but if this is true that's absolutely fecking unacceptable.

That seems to be what happened. Not sure if it cost the three points but it certainly created chaos. I suspect Herrera won't be playing much fur a while.

My only question for Jose: Why the feck is that clown Mhikitaryan getting minutes?

That is the one complaint I have of Jose, too.
Miki is the not the guy you want on the pitch if you need to defend or attack. When Miki is on the pitch it looks like he is there to do the bare minimum.

Should've won that. Although at this point a draw is not exactly league trophy nullifying stuff.

It's more about pulling ahead of the teams behind us and solidifying top four for me. This game was irrelevant in terms of the league - that's over.

We could have opened a 5 point gap on Chelsea in 3rd place though with a win here.

Still couldn't get over the result, such a shame we had to throw away points in one game we played well off late. I must admit that i was impressed with Lukaku. He's working his socks off for the team and should have had two assists.

those players should receive a cold shower from JM. They need to wake up and. The 3 players behind Lukaku I mean.

I knew i felt it was coming after those ridiculous missed chances from UNITED players but laughing? How did you! My God i was so furious after that pass from Rashford and i almost break my mobile:confused:

Last 15 minutes were pathetic. We should killed them.
I am not a manager so i can name two players with i am angry so much that i want to call the all sort of names but i will say only : rashford and smalling.
Rashford had worst cameo in a long time. 3 times he goes in counter and every time he fecks it up. Especially that time in 93th minute. Does he know to pass the ball? What is his problem? I just can't understand that.
Smalling- what to say? First goal he just allowed mahrez to do want he wants and second goal was absolute disaster.
You realise Smalling was injured for the second goal and for the first goal he was covering for the mistakes of others

:nervous::p

In my opinion, we played some great stuff, looked dangerous almost every time going forward. I'm aware that the goal was a kick in the balls, but based on that performance itself this shouldn't be the game to call out the manager.

Most of the complaints before were, yes we have results, but look awful on the pitch. Well, tonight we got exactly the opposite.

Jose pretty much says it in the post match presser - we were childish in possession knowing we had Smalling injured and no need to drive up the tempo like we did. I guess that's what people love and hate about Klopp. He of course also mentioned the clear cut chances we had (Jesse and Marcus at least).

I am perfectly content to shut up shop and slow down a game when we are 2-1 up away from home. The players thought there were goals to be had which blurred their focus.

Needlessly dropped 2 points when we could have built up some distance between ourselves and Chelsea.

Jose should never have had to make those decisions. The gilt-edged chances Martial, Lingard and Rashford missed tonight was the reason we threw the game. The manager cannot be held accountable for those misses.

Educated guess, because he knew you'd enjoy 1992-2013 more, could be wrong.....
I’m a second generation fan my sons are all members (four of them) , c’mon all us reds know that the team always put you through the ringer, nothings easy it’s the United way! I accept that it’s just of late it’s getting too much!

Believe me it's not just about winning the league or not, yes logically the league was over the time we lost to City but dropping points like these lot oh Come on that's fecking un acceptable and it will not be strange if after another couple of games we will see our selves fighting for top four AGAIN! Today was un believable and totally un acceptable, some players should be benched after this untill they are off. Oh God I don't want be so dramatic but I am real sad about my club.

All I am reading is players being torn a new one
Makes me sick. Should have been 6-1

Our players have let everyone down today

My only question for Jose: Why the feck is that clown Mhikitaryan getting minutes?

Because he is the greatest manager in the world, he has all the trophies to prove he knows best. All I see is regression in all our players, if one player has a slump in the season I blame the player. If the whole team start to slump I say something is seriously wrong and I blame the manager.
My question is: when they went down to 10 men, why was Mata, Lingard two of our most threatening players in attack subbed for Herrera and Miki? All we did was sit back and defend. When we did try and counter attack is was pathetic(had no problem counter attacking and finishing our chances in the beginning of the season)
Sorry to say it and I was really happy when Mourinho arrived but this is the beginning of the end for him.

Fair dos, interesting to hear someones assessment. Gonna be difficult picking the new guy after Mourinho. Just not that many options in general.

Edit: Just to be a bit lenient on Ancelotti, Mou has also been sacked by two of those teams. And the Bayern one, IMO, was harsh

Agreed not enough obvious replacements and doesn't help a lot of the jobs are being cycled round the same managers time after time who never really quite cut it and certainly not enough to get top jobs.
