To be fair, for all the talk of not taking our chances, two goals should have been enough to win that game.
First goal is just lazy defending and yet again poor decision making. Unacceptable really. Against the run of play.
We keep flying forward, look dangerous but can't add to it. Martial, Rashford and Lingard waste laughable missed chances. Uncoachable, uncontrollable. Again, unacceptable.
A centre half is limping about for nearly 10 minutes and no-one steps in, they all look at each other and do nothing. International footballers literally unable to make decisions on their own. Long ball comes in and as you'd expect, Smalling can't adjust and they score last kick of the game.
Decision making on the pitch is and will continue to cost us. If you only take two of your four hundred chances at one end and give two goals away at the other, you don't win. If you take away the goals, some of the possession we conceded high up the pitch was really, really soft. Didn't maintain enough pressure for long enough.
I thought our transitions were solid again and we continuously get into good positions. Frustrating game.
