What was D'Souza convicted of?

What was D'Souza convicted of?

Election fraud. The idiot told someone to donate more than the max amount.

Edit: I was slightly off
In 2012, the Election Act limited campaign contributions to $5,000 from any individual to any one candidate. In March 2012, D’SOUZA contributed $10,000 to the Senate campaign of Wendy Long on behalf of himself and his wife, agreeing in writing to attribute that contribution as $5,000 from his wife and $5,000 from him. In August 2012, D’SOUZA directed other individuals with whom he was associated, namely his assistant and a woman with whom D’SOUZA was romantically involved (the “Straw Donors”), to make contributions to Wendy Long’s campaign for the United States Senate (the “Long Campaign”) on behalf of themselves and their spouses that totaled $20,000 with the promise that he would reimburse them for the contributions. Later that same day or the next day, D’SOUZA, as promised, reimbursed the Straw Donors $10,000 each in cash for the contributions. When confronted by Ms. Long, D’SOUZA initially misled the candidate before admitting what he had done.
The idiot said the quiet part out loud; what's better is that this info came out when his wife/mistress found out about his mistress/wife and ratted him out.

Aye, not a single word. Not even in the office gym, where they have TV's showing CNN, MSNBC, and Fox.

Didn't hear anyone say a thing in my (very liberal) lab office. The only person who discussed it was a van driver (very friendly and talkative, also probably a Trump guy) for my univ's late-night service. He discusses literally all politics except US, he's quite knowledgeable.
He told me, with a completely incredulous voice, that a Chinese student had discussed the shooting and told him that China is much safer without guns. So, this guy bascially linked that to the Communist Party (they're safe because they're not free)... He didn't actually discuss the shooting.

Side note - he's very anti-intervention. "Why are we in Afghanistan? Let them sort it out." I suggested they might have minerals that are valuable long-term. "So what? that's their business. Stop spending money on Afghans."
It's not some noble principled anti-intervention, but simply that those guys don't deserve money from the US. If he is at all representative, then Bernie could slightly modify his pitch to: "divert funding from foreign wars to our healthcare", and it might work.

These people are wasting their time shedding tears in front of a narcissist.

I can see why they didn't invite the ones in the media. Would be a bit awkward sharing a room with someone your son has accused of being an actor.

There you have it folks. Further securitization

"More people involved = more chance of the 'scam' being exposed" would be the logic of the conspiracy theorists.

I was often amazed at how a former friend of mine got swept up in the CT world and became a somewhat known voice within, even appearing a few times with Hack Jones and guest speaking at various events.

I pondered to her that if she truly believed the Fed/Gov killed hundreds on 9/11 and other incidents, and she has all the info to bring down said Fed/Gov as she has claimed, how was she permitted to live? Never got a response.

Saw that guy in the top video speak. Obviously terrible for him to lose his daughter but it seemed terribly convenient that he was comparing post 9/11 airport security increases to schools as if we suddenly need TSA like screening checkpoints for schools. Perhaps I'm the one being a conspiracy theorist here but this administration seems to do anything to control the narrative.

I don't see why they're trying to make this an issue and it does give the impression that they're trying to make it about themselves.

A lot of the people who were meeting Trump today were parents and families of the deceased and they were the ones who were most affected by the shooting.

Anyone watching the town hall on CNN ? Have a feeling Rubio is going to get hammered here.

I can't believe Trump (the utter [redacted word]) actually put out the idea of arming teachers.

It's been memed into existence. Like the wall, it was the right-wing fringe idea to be mocked. Soon it will be reality.

Little Marco tap dancing like Fred Astaire in "the Gay Divorcee".

He's fecking this up. These people don't give a shit about minutiae. Bill details are his job to sort out but he needs to come out with strong simple words to placate this lot and he's failing.

Awful idea to have thousands of people in the room. This type of mob mentality will just further divide both sides.

White text?

I really don't see reconciliation in this - if the gun-supporter didn't move after Sandy Hook and Steve Scalise, I don't see them moving now. Infowars' crisis actors are going mainstream, and Dinesh is openly mocking the schoolkids.

These young people look enthralled:

Blast from the past:

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

Crooked Hillary said that I want guns brought into the school classroom. Wrong!

Wow....Rubio getting hammered on the NRA question. Good thing he probably wont run for office again as all of this is great ad fodder.

Its about bringing both sides to work together and coming up with common sense gun laws. I know the people in the room are angry and rightfully so, but the mob mentality will just make people retreat to their own corners and become even further divided.
