I think Elway and Kubiak are setting themselves up to take any of Rosen, Allen, Darnold, or Mayfield depending on who is available. I know that both of them personally went to the Cotton Bowl to watch Darnold live and within the past 24 hours there have been more Josh Allen rumors. So the question then becomes how badly Elway, Kubiak, and Mike Sullivan want a particular QB. If they want someone like Rosen above all else - as in, if they don't get him their first round pick would be considered not successful - then by all means they may attempt to trade up. If on the other hand, they view Rosen, Darnold, and Allen as roughly comparable then there's no value in trading up as one of them is guaranteed to be available at the #5 pick since Barkley and Chubb are almost guaranteed to go in the top 5. In the latter case, I would expect the Broncos to get either Allen or Rosen at #5

Browns in great shape here to sign a major free agent

Browns in their current situation shouldn't try to be too clever and should just make the obvious picks . Crazy things can happen on draft day so when you have your destiny in your hands then just pick who you like . Should pick Barkley and One of the qb's

Barkley, a QB, and could also throw some serious cash at someone like Landry. That would be a a great spring for them. I'd also sign Kaepernick as an insurance policy in case the drafted QB doesn't work out or needs a bit of time to settle in.

Why don't they wear full gear during the combine? Wouldn't they get more precise numbers on 40 yard dashes and leaps when wearing helmet and pads?

Bennett and potentially Sherman going in one day is a pisser, especially Sherman. It makes sense as we are short on cap space and draft picks but it still hurts. Bennett was still excellent last year, think he was top 10 in qb pressures despite a pretty bad injury but I guess if we're reloading then him going makes sense even if we didn't get much.

Don't care about Jimmy Graham going really, he was great in the redzone where he made it look effortless, but he was really bad everywhere else. Better for everyone to split.

One pff guy did his mock draft today and he had Mayfield at 1. It would be a big move but I seriously believe that he is the guy who can turn the Browns around

Sounds like no decision has been made on Sherman by the Seahawks, all options are still on the table. I'm therefore going to cling to the possibility that he stays for as long as possible.

Bennett gone? Fine
Sherm potentially going, not fine

Seems like Seahawks are tearing that D apart. Sherman would be a shock trade, Bennett I can understand somewhat.

Sherman had surgery in the off season and would be a £13m cap hit in 2018 but only £2.2m in dead money, so if there's concerns over his fitness I can understand it from a business perspective.

It's kind of similar to Talib, although with him it's not fitness it's younger competition at the position when he's a big salary cost.

Still a tough task to replace him.

Is it more difficult to come back from a torn Achilles tendon than an ACL tear? Always seemed that way to me.

I think this is a valid point. Jerry Rice never had a great 40 time, but with pads on on the field he seemed to be able to run away from DBs with ease. Deion, on the other hand, had great 40 speed and then somehow managed to look even faster in pads on the field!

Because no one cares about the 40 yard dash. The combine is about medical visits, interviews and determining whether a player is a good athlete or not, the first two are the absolute priority.

Rams will be a force next year. Excited to see how they do with the expectations.

Talib going frees up $11m in cap space for a $1m dead money hit. As much as he's still one of the best in the league I can't argue it needed doing.

Chris Harris Jr is the best corner in the league and paying them both >$10m is too much. I expect C.J. Anderson will be next, freeing up another $5m.

One things for sure though, after losing those players Elway had better get the QB right.

Losing Talib and Anderson should give them about 40m of cap space to play with. No excuses about not having the money to get a top QB any more.

Sherman being cut today!!

Come to the Pats, do it Bill!

I want Sherman at the Packers soooo bad. I really like the guy.

Nah the deal was already done when the Pats tried to swoop in.

I think Philly was his preferred destination. Going to NE at the very end of the Brady/Bellichik era is a tricky proposition, as opposed to joining the Eagles when they look like they are ready to go on a serious run.

Doesn't his brother play with Patriots? Think as @RobinLFC mentioned, the Pats just came in too late.

Martellus has been cut by the Pats.
He was cut afterwards. Story is he'd told the Pats that he'd agree to a significant pay cut if he could play on the same team with his brother, but the Pats were too late and the Seahawks refused to go back on their deal with the Eagles.

Sherman has said that he's been released but that the Seahawks promised to get back in contact with him and just needed the cap room flexibility now. I hope to god he comes back, not sure I'll be able to cope with seeing him play for anyone else. We've also cut Jeremy Lane which is a much more agreeable decision. Frankly his main contributions this year have been getting penalties including one ejection (although that was harsh to say the least) and failing his medical with the Texans meaning we lost a better draft pick.

If I had to guess I'd say the 9ers, Raiders, or Rams since those are his home town or college area teams.

I hope to god it's not the 49ers. Rams makes no sense considering them getting Peters, Talib and Sam Shields. Could definitely see the Raiders though, them and the Patriots are the most likely in my opinion.
